Description
Zaccanapoli is a short drive from its less famous sister town Saluzzo, overlooking plains seen more around Tuscany, which hopes to be the ultimate buffet of Italian charm for her visitors.
Recognized by I Borghi più belli d’Italia in 2006, it has maintained a consistent influx of tourists for the last decade, rapidly dwarfing that of its neighbouring towns in recent years. With architecture that could be described as something between San Gimignano's brickwork and pristine colours of Venice, it's the premiere destination for those seeking the country's heart and soul.
With a modest population of 20,000, its roads are consistently paved by inviting two-floor hotels, awning-laden colourful restaurants, tiny mom-and-pop general stores, small artisan workshops and a flurry of unique houses between it all.
