Og's Paradise winds it for me just by looking at the screen, although you used a lot of water the rides and the coaster look fantastic and I can see some nice colour schemes going on.
Hmmm...
Very hard to choose one with this match-up. Oh well, let's begin with Og's Paradise. It was a very nice mini. Good landscape, and a good coaster. Very creative theming, and the mountain in the middle to top it off, but there was something missing. So we move on to Adventura Espana. Sad to say it, but it seems like everyone is doing a Mexican/Spanished themed area, but I have no problem with that as long as it looks good. The coaster was very basic, but it was the scenery that tipped the scales for me. It just seems so planned out, and it looks so nice something that I think Og's Paradise lacks a little. It was a very close race, but there was just somethin about the Mean Green's that I liked.
Hard choice, both were pretty even but I think in the end the consistency of Og's Paradise plus cool little water ride won it over. Adventura Espana just failed to bring together a really strong atmopshere for me. Some of the buildings shined (the station was one of them), but others looked simple and rushed. Og's Paradise was a little more solid, had a strong atmosphere going for it, and the painfuly slow flyer is made up for by the well done water ride.
The standings of both teams reflect on their parks for this round, craptacularly boring. Both of the main coasters in each park went so damn slow, that it made STE's first test run look like TTD's top speed. Hideous. And I think I know who made Hurricane too, which truely dissapoints me. Oh well, null vote for me.
Well I definately know who one of the makers of Og's Paradise is and to him I say great work. This is your best, most consistent atmosphere so far. Seeing 'the little weed that could' popping up all over the place through those walkways warmed my heart. The switchtrack was well executed as well and I've always liked how you build queue lines.
I liked Adventure Espana a lot as well and I had a tough time at first choosing which one to vote for. Ultimately it was familiarity and nostalgia that won out but I want to congratulate whoever worked on the Mean Green's park as well. Some wonderful architecture in there and a very inviting atmosphere overall. I liked the coaster too. This is the most even contest I've seen so far. I eventually settled on Og's Paradise but I was split 51-49 on that so I want to emphasize that in a pinch my vote could have swung the other way. Sorry guys, but I guess that's how it goes. I'm shocked there's such a big margin here because I really think these are both very deserving of the win.
Hmm, either that was a deliberate red herring or the Mean Green's filename reveals a bit too much...
*cries*
This just isnt my season obviously, I couldnt buy a win. I also dont understand how our park is getting killed, because like Ed said both are pretty even. Oh well, I guess thats the story of our season (Mean Green's season).
You know, it just a little bad luck at times too. Sometimes great parks lose to greater parks and crappy parks win by default. It's been a strange season so far. I am surprised that this is fairly lopsided as I thought it would be close. Both parks are good, neither outstanding.
Yikes... that suprises me.
i thought AE was loads better than og...
which is also wierd coz im very much an RCT1 person
I much prefered the atmosphere in AE despite lack of music lol.
Both parks are very good, but RCT1 wins in the end everytime. Great archy and theming in this park, nice coaster also...possibly my favorite H2H2 since Erwindale...
RCT2: Very nice, as RCT2ers go. Very impressive archy and theming..the coaster lacks though. Nice effort put into both, I'm very impressed.
Where is everybody? HELLO? What happened to comments/voting? Enthusiasm??
Anyway, Og's Paradise is my preference. The coaster, although slow in that one place, is pretty darn cool and I think the whole station/queue is well done. Plus the island look is less generic than the other park's layout and the colour scheme is different. The water coaster is the star though. It's awesome!
Good Job to both teams - Mean green's park is much better than many of the other parks i've seen in the competition, but not as good as Og.
