lmao, jacko. You're an idiot haha. Maybe, just maybe, giving Ed credit for the first ever launched coaster was meant sarcastically.. just maybe there Jack.
Oh, and about the rest of the post... I believe there was a period that splitting the trains was a gimmick, but i think Erwindale was definitely towards the end already of it, and splitting coasters are just making there return as a 'gimmick'.
I'm also sick of seeing people using paths in their parks. They were amazing when they were first out - so original! - but now they've become nothing but vote-grabbing gimmicks.

LMFAO! Mr. NE strikes again! How about bushes there Mantis, are those out of date too even though a really good one (like in Goth) comes along every once in a while and it's just so amazing that you love it.
If splitters are out of date I think adventure rides have lost their touch and are just for votes. Maybe they are, but please...
Personally Jacko i completly disagree with you. I dont see the splitting coaster as a gimmik at all.
i see it as another type of coaster to be used in rct. just like a suspended or a hyper.
It's just a type of coaster invented by the RCT community rather than one that came shipped with the game. Sure it takes longer to hack and build but whats the difference between this and putting in an inverted coaster?
Maybe when it was first invented it drew votes because it was a new concept but after a while a gimmik reaches a certain point where it stops being a gimmik and just becomes another rollercoaster type. (Much like batman: the ride was amazing when it was built because it was a new concept, now a new invert is just an invert)
so for me a well built splitter is just as likely to draw a vote as a well built suspended is.

Just my feeling anyway
I think, when they are used as an actual attraction, they aren't as 'gimmicky.' But, when they're used, and all they do is go out and back, that's pretty much a gimmick any way you look at it. It, IMO, doesn't look good, it doesn't have any purpose other than to look cool, and as a showcase for the parkmaker's skill. If they would have actually done something with it, anything, it would have been better. But no, it goes up, goes down, goes back to the station. Pointless.
Well i think it has been fishy since the first finals, but whatever, i suppose this is what it's about, one team leads then a draw, then the other team leads and then a draw for like 7 fucking days, oh well, im looking forward to see who wins.

It's so true. People should stop using bushes to swing the poll too. And rollercoasters in general just suck.

This is closed. The IIIcons are league champs. They three-peated. Controversy over.
