Blah blah blah blah ceiling fucking fans blah blah blah. OMG guys the fucking building had ceiling fans. Really come on how can you vote for a park on the sheer fact one building had ceiling fans? Guess what guys.
Know what that is? A screen of a project I did almost a year ago. And look OMG its ceiling fans. Did that make the park great? No. Infact I ended up canceling it. Can I ask one thing of you guys?
I must tip my hat to Jacko for making it perfectly obvious who made the Hurricane's park and therefore is pissed about it's possible loss.
However I've been out of town for the weekend, so I have yet to examine both parks in full; however those who accuse the builder of the germans park doing "production line" construction are horribly wrong. He said that it was the most inspired he's been in quite some time however time was highly limited which might explain the lack of expearimentation.
ride6... perhaps the maker WAS inspired (after all, we can't ever really be sure), but it didn't seem like it, and that's all we can really take out of this. Maybe it was due to lack of time, but the opinion is still valid.
In any case, it's down to a one vote lead now... again... Hurricanes trailing.... and Iris wanted me to close this when it was 40-37 Germans for like eight straight hours!

Get over the ceiling fans!
I also voted for Gotheburg on the basis of this one awesome bush in the corner...man was that bush cool.
I voted for the Hurricanes. It looked as if a lot more thought went into it, and in my opinion, it nearly pulled off what it was trying to do. The German's park was nowhere near what it wanted to be.
Damn, wtf?! Everytime I come to this page it is either tied or one of the teams is ahead by 1 and then it goes back to being tied. This is definetly the closest H2H battle ever, that I can remember.
Corkscrewed: I am assuming the 5 day rule is in affect here right?
Or the train-splitting bullshit once again ripped from Erwindale. It doesn't even copy it right either.. instead of a really cool-looking innovative custom tree, the track shoots out of a glass mountain thing that we have to assume is a pyramid because it's in the park's title. I mean, even copying that coaster in Erwindale has become a cliche. People need to step off the Erwindale train. It was amazing then, but I'm beginning to think we'll never see another park with as original of a concept if people still keep pulling the same shit from their asses.
I'm so happy that Ed came up with splitting coasters. And Kudos to him for coming up with the first ever launched coaster, too.
Honestly, Jacko, pull your head out of your ass. Sure, there might not be anything special about this coaster, but it's not like Erwindale has a copyright on launched splitting coasters. I didn't read the rest of your post, because that disgusted me so much.
That being said, I voted for the 'Canes. The idea of the perfect park is beaten to death. I'm not crying unoriginality, like Jacko, but it just doesn't do anything for me anymore. I like risky, gimmicky parks. I like opening it and having my jaw drop. Most of all, I like parks that are fun to look at because they're fun. A fucking robot vs. a pyramid... Yep, robot is more fun.
But to be honest, I mostly voted for the 'Canes so we can have a 3rd match.

But Erwindale wasn't the first for either of those. It was known for that coaster though you know? So when everyone saw all the praise it was getting, the trainsplitting hack becomes a gimmick and then... everyone's doing it.
And by the way, as much as you don't want to agree with me, complaining that a park concept is "beaten to death" and that it's "unoriginal" is the same thing. It's almost as if you voted for us just to show my post didn't persuade you.
But whatever.. this is the last time I let something like this consume me. fuck it.
lmao, jacko. You're an idiot haha. Maybe, just maybe, giving Ed credit for the first ever launched coaster was meant sarcastically.. just maybe there Jack.
Oh, and about the rest of the post... I believe there was a period that splitting the trains was a gimmick, but i think Erwindale was definitely towards the end already of it, and splitting coasters are just making there return as a 'gimmick'.

Especially since it was such a perfect example of how not to build a park.

But really, go back to consuming yourself.
