I think Rainbow Valley pulled idea off very well where as A51 didnt quite do it. A bit too empty (i guess it is in a desert) but a few more buildings would of done it. It did have some charm though.
A-51 was ok, good idea tho its been done befor (that really old LL one from Doctor J's site.) you just did not do enof when their was SO much you could have done. You did have some nice archy tho, it was good, just to empty.
RV - Im a sucker for duelers, the 2 here were great, so was the colors idea, but again it kinda reminds me of another park; Tinted Shores by RCT Flame, so no very high creativity points there. I enjoyed the park and the only beef I had was with the 1/4 black box/stones, don't use them like that, it was just ugly.
RV got my vote, congrats on what should be your first win.
This is very very similar to the other battle, except I think this is the one that should be closer. For instance, Area 51 had some amazing ideas... I absolutely loved the virginia reels. The archiecture was cool too. But it just wasn't a full park. Like The Cave, it was a good idea with not much there. But RV was great... amazing duelers, nice architecture, a FULL park.. yeah ok hello. If A51 was a full park, then it would gmv instantly.. love those tunnels.
Ah, brilliant. Many times with H2H I find two equally average, and boring, parks, and am forced to vote for the most beautiful. This matchup, however, I find two equally creative, and unique, parks, and am forced to vote for the most beautiful. Frankly, it is a choice I make with much more enjoyment, and also much more sorrow, because I have to vote against a truly amazing park!
Anyways, I have to vote for Rainbow Valley, but wish I could vote for them both! Wonderful work both of you.
PS: Yes, I am in an especially good mood tonight... hopefully it will last...
Area 51 - Well, another park that lacked in the execution department. The ideas were there, but there were numerous flaws that immediately locked my vote to the Vehmences. Mainly, the landscaping. I realize the setting was in a desert, but the flatness was just disturbing, to the point I felt like I was looking a blank workbench in places. The architecture, what was there, was well-formed and stylish. I woulda loved to see more of it. The coaster however, I did not like. It spent the majority underground, making it hard to follow. The Virginia Reel was not a bad idea, but again, execution lacked too much to keep me interested. A good effort guys, but definitely a below-par park for me.
Rainbow Valley - I loved this park. If you're ever gonna do a rainbow theme, this is the way to go; make everything a rainbow. The park flowed pretty much perfectly, from the architecture to the track supports, quite flawless (except for that damn zero divide error ) . Duelers were awesome and as most know, I'm a sucker for RCT2 colors being used like this, so I almost immediately knew this park had my vote. One flaw imo would be that the architecture depended heavily on 2x2 in several places, but not really to the point that the buildings were not interesting to look at. And the atmosphere doesnt get much more pleasant than this. Awesome park guys.
If it there was more in it, and I wasn't on the Vehemences, I would have voted for Area 51. The architecture was a lot better imo, but this just doesn't compare to the vibrant colors in Rainbow Valley. Deserts don't have to be flat with nothing in them...I think.

*sigh*
Sometimes I think you just purposely go against the grain in an attempt to annoy everyone else.
Anyway, I did not find either particularly awesome, tho Rainbow Valley was pretty nice. I'm not sure why people aren't saying the same thing about it as they did with Paradise Island. It's the same stuff we've seen only with different colors. If you're gonna be fussy with one, why not the other?
And I found Area 51 to be simply a poor excuse for an unfinished park.
Of course, I've seen you (cg?) take a recent swing toward more scenario-istic style parks, so I can understand why you like it... I just don't agree.
In any case, at least I was right about thinking THIS matchup would be a slaughter... Congrats to the Vehemences for what appears to be a solid win (I won't call this until 24 hrs have passed at least. And I like more votes. ).
Area 51: It wasn't a new idea to build a area 51. It ist more a standard idea.
But the architecture was nice
Rainbow Valley: Great Dueller and the colours were very good pulled together. When I look at this
park I see a rainbow. The only bad thing imo was much 2x2 architecture
I voted for the flying germans because any idiot who knows anything about rct (apart from machchunk) can whack every colour in the game into a park filled with tedious 2x2 oh-my-god-i-think-i'll-kill-myself-if-i-see-another-rip-of-euroscape architecture. Whereas actually creating a composed atmosphere, and leaving empty space which positively contributed to the park, whether it was a time issue or not, at least hasn't been done one hundred times before.
i chose the flying germans one, because apart from the coaster, it was ok to look at. and empty, but atleast ok to look at.
The rainbow park was nice, the duellers were ok i guess... but with a tap of "4" everything dissapears.. there's really not that much there either. Around the station there are a couple of rides, the water ride and a coaster. But no real landscaping, no purpose to the rest of the park (apart from being a sore in the eye kind of colorful)
If you're gonna be fussy with one, why not the other?
Well, as I said, for no reason in particular I found myself in wonderfully high spirits last night, and continue to feel that way this morning, and that was, and is, about 98% of it, really. Actually, I like Paradise Island a lot more at the moment than I did then, too (although I still prefer The Cave).
And, yes, scenario-istic (what a brilliant word that is!), retro-2000, is the style of the moment. Well, for me, anyways.

Vehemences get my vote. The Germans did good, but it kind of bored me, a bit.
Good architecture though, of what was there.
and funky tunnels!

Vehemences crafted a very nice looking park...whereas the Flying Germans just...didn't in my opinion.

But man, if only the original file hadn't been lost, with its main selling point...
I'll be sure to check out RV later.
