Sierra Glen: Wow. I loved the suspended. It was just brilliant. The log flume was pretty good too. Landscaping. Archy. All were done nicely.

Symphony of Pollution: I finally got LL back on my comp, so I now could check this out. But I was disappointed. It was messy and the invert was...meh. I did like that cafe.

    Vote goes to Sierra Glen.

    EDIT: 53-53

    54 - 53..

I really cannot beleive its this close.

Im really not sure what everyone sees in Symphony of Pollution. It didnt really do anything for me, the landscaping seemed sloppy, the coasters werent anything amazing, yet Sierra Glen had possibly the best swinging coaster ever created in RCT2. The landscaping was great throughout. The ONLY thing that i thought Sierra Glen was lacking was some colour, but even now it has the most amazing atmosphere, IMO colour may even ruin that.

I think this is the first time we've ever cracked a hundred in a H2H matchup.  Pat yourself on the back people... and... wow.  Exciting, isn't it?

Meanwhile the other matchup only has 13 replies... :'(

Wasn't week one last time pretty close to that? I think it ended up 50 to 49.

    Week 1 DUE December 3, 2004
-Seal Clubbers 57 vs. IIICons 17
-MoLLesters 43 vs. Flying Germans 32
    -Hurricanes 66 vs. Vehemences 29

Even the closest match was won by 11.

I think he means from H2H2, where Horstmann Labs lost (or was it won?) by one vote.

Similarly insane contest we got going here too.

Ah. Well that'd make more sense. My memory sucks, so yeah, that'd work. Though I don't think it was by one... might have been like two or three. I dunno. Oh well.

    Horstmann 51-48 over Elfwood.

Speaking of Posix, I can't help but agree.

    That's what I was thinking.
Honestly, I think it should be a draw and either both teams get a point or no point and do a re-match with the same people.
I doubt that'd work out though.

Thanks for bringing it to attention sfgadv and Drew. 11 members have registered over the past two days as of about 4:00 PT when the average is usually about two per day, at most three. Whether these new members swung the vote to either side as a result of bias and foul play, and which side they swung it to and how much, is still unknown. But a very hotly contested match, with the most votes in H2H history I believe, and a huge increase in the number of members that registered - I'd be hard-pressed to call that a total coincidence, being that it is 11. If it were like 6 it probably wouldn't be that big a deal, but 11?

I'll try to speak fairly here - I don't know which team, if either, used any new members to vote for them, but I'd say that if anything did happen along those lines, it would be enough to cloud up the accuracy and honesty of the total vote somewhat. That's why I think we need to call it off.

I agree with all the "rematch" people, which I guess makes me a "'rematch' person" too, I guess.

i think it should be a tie seeing as it has been going back and forth by 1 vote over a couple of days now.
  • MightyMouse%s's Photo
Can we just have a tie? Both teams had the same number of votes. Neither team won. Neither team lost. Let's just keep the ball rolling and look foward to week 3.

All this rematch talk is kind of....not stated in the rules, by the way.

I think we should have just a time and date when it will be closed and at that point whichever team is ahead gets it other team doesnt and if its a tie its a tie.

It seems clear that lots of members have voted and it is spilt 50-50 (Witch is really insane after 100+ votes) and I think we can see its basicly a tie. Also im starting to think if it stays open they could be more "foul play" but I know I want a win, and I think TPM does too, so if so many members vote and can't decide how do we end up without a tie?

Maybe make our second match up worth 2 wins? I don't know but Id like to see a winner, but based on the 2 parks it does not seem like that will happend. Or maybe we can vote again, but not with a poll, just like all the H2H3 team members post thier picks or something.

    This is insane :|

I say if we put it to another vote let it be a captain vote and then Iris can be tie breaking vote of the captains tie.

A 're-vote' seems silly. No matter the outcome, it's going to be contested. A captain-vote or a H2H3 participants vote also seems unfair because that was not part of the original rules. It's about which park is most liked by everyone, not most liked by the captains or most liked by the participants. (not to mention people will probably vote strategically) This was the real vote and it was a tie. Having one week count double is completely out of the question. You should know that. There's no way to make that close to fair. I think the most logical solution is just to follow the rules as close as possible. When the time limit is up, if it's still tied, then it's an official tie. That's really the only fair solution. Any kind of tie breaker is going to deviate from the actual vote which has always been the only basis for deciding a winner.

Ok, after this match up I got an idea, we add rules on voteing and for how long. One way is first team to a set nunber like 30, 40 or 50 votes, first team to hit the mark wins. Another way is a set time, like exactly 24 or 48 hours after the match-up is posted its it made final (you could use the forum clock). I think adding one of these ideas to the rules whould be a big help, id hate to see something like this happen again, its really annyoing.
