well.
looks like we're getting the everliving shit beaten out of us.
but right.
Rockwood was nifty. But it just didn't really come together for me. The whole "huge piece of architecture with an adventure ride and explosions" card has really already been played more than once, and by Croky no less. but don't get me wrong, a very solid entry.
OC was awesome. and no, i'm not just saying that. it really is quality work, with great atmosphere, architecture, and a kick-ass coaster. the only thing that brought it down for me, was the lack of rides.
It's a tough call. I'll need to think on it, but good job on all of you.
The quality and refinement of Orange County is undeniable, and kudos to whoever made it for the excellent looks. That said, refinement isn't always number one; sometimes the most fun-looking entry, the one that looks a joy to have created, is the one that captures you. You can make the most refined entry and sometimes the one that the guy had fun building, "I like this idea and it's working into a really cool experience," is the one that comes out on top.
All right, I'm going to call this match now as it seems like the landslide has been on for a while.
The official score of this match is: Hurricanes 46 Vehemences 19
The Hurricanes improve to 1-0. The Vehemences drop to 0-1.
Thank you all VERY much for the very nice turnout, all within less than 24 hours! It's definitely a pleasing sign, and hopefully we can keep this up!
The Hurricanes' Escape from Rockwood Prison was made by Corkscrewed and Richie.
The Vehemences' Orange County was made by Chapel and Junya Boy.
Both parks were definitely great ways to kick off H2H3, featuring strong performances that really had people talking. All parties deserve a pat on the back for getting some nice stuff done. And though Rockwood was made in Kumba's previous team, I will go on the record and say that I did most of my part in about three to four weeks. And if Chapel and Junya did theirs completely within these past few weeks, then wow. Amazing job whipping together some great quality stuff!
Vehemences have made a great park accept for the fact that they finished when they built the prison. Even tohugh that is one hell of a prison
As for the Hurricanes they forgot that browns a color that can be overused, but hell i always forget that too. i voted for the hurricanes because it works the coaster goes with everything dosnt seem out of place good work guys.

I really liked Rockwood, the best part being the knocking the biker off the edge, that was awesome. Yeah, the whole big building thing has been done before, but it didn't take anything away from a quality entry
Orange county was good, but I couldn't help but look at some things and say "why did they do that" namely, the cactuses on the shoreline. They looked horrible. However, the coaster was awesome, and the achitecture was junyaesque...which means, it's good, but I don't like it personally.
Even though the match is over, I will give my opinion.
I think Rockwood was the better entry. It was very creative and interesting. Orange County was very nice, dont get me wrong, but it just didn't keep my attention. A bit boring. Both entries were well done. Good job guys.
Ok, I take back my words. I'm not sure if any of my stuff is left in there, prolly not, but whatever. I'm done with it so it doesn't matter.
If there is any of my stuff, it'd be like 2 buildings in the city and a couple modifications of scenery and landscaping, well that and brainstorming but whatever.
RCT2 has never really worked on my computer, so I can only vote based on screens. But tell me where this is unfair? If I vote for both parks solely based on looks, then aren't both parks being judged fairly? Think of people like me as a presentation judge. The rest of you people that can view the parks vote on concepts and execution, and we'll vote on the looks. Besides, if you can't make a park that looks decent zoomed out, then you don't deserve the vote anyway.

See, it's just simplifications like that that make you sound more ignorant than you probably are. I, for one, tend to building all my parks so that they have to be viewed up close.
And furthermore, an overview doesn't mean anything. Some parks look great from far away but turn out to be boring and simplistic. Others have a crummy overview, but turn out to be amazing. Heck, I didn't think Battlefield RCT looked too nice as a map.
In the case of an adventure ride, especially, judging based on screens doesn't do anything because you need to experience it. Can you really judge a real life theme park simply based on pictures if you've never been there? Even if you watch video of it, does video really compare actually being there? Not in my book.
That said, I don't think it's absolutely wrong to judge on screens. But making a habit of it is cheating yourself of really getting the park. Personally, though, it hasn't been a big problem in the past, because most people who've voted HAVE downloaded the parks. So while it's a nice topic to discuss, it's nothing to flame each other over. In some cases, judging by screens probably won't hurt. And in others, it may lead to a misguided opinion.

While I do agree with you Cork, most of the parks I've seen so far, I can tell which I like just by the screen. If it is somthing that to me looks like it needs to be viewed up close I'll download it but so far that hasn't come along.
Huh I didn't realise my posts had actually become invisible Maybe I should put it in 1337 speak and then people would take notice...or put a big LOLO in for good measure. Ah well.
If you cant download, there really isnt any point voting. You CANNOT judge Rockwood by the screens, seriously. You can't see anything in the park, how do you know what happens?
Too bad more parks aren't that way, or else people like chanucy wouldn't judge it by the screen because 9/10 parks these days can seriously be judged by its overview. Rookwood was an exception, although I think it should have been a tad more refined and smooth regarding that this was finished before last h2h 3's ended.
