First off, I would like point out that Kayte Ridge is NOT the right way to make a realistic park in my mind....Let me show pictures to illustrate my points....
If you are going to vote for Kayte Ridge because of its realism, understand a few things about realism. Kayte Ridge comes nowhere close to approaching the "enjoyment" that parks like these do. Even Six Flags parks have a more "lively" atmosphere than Kayte Ridge. Secondly, the John Allen coaster should not have banked curves, because every old (Im assuming this John Allen in your park is old) Allen coaster is not heavily banked. Your game stalls seem a bit undone, well one of them at least (I believe its near the ridge). The queue lines could hold about 30 people maximum, especially the queue lines of the flatrides....they are FAR too short. The queues also have no areas for mass people storage (IE rows of bars)...if your park were to be crowded on a Weekend the lines would spill FAR out into the walkways, making it less enjoyable.
Secondly, two of your rides.....two of them.....don't even work. Are they ornaments? Whats the purpose of throwing a flatrides down that does not have real entrances and exits? You might as well leave the area near the water blank....because if I can't ride them at least let me view the lake without any steel obstructions.
My point in all this? Don't dare criticize Internet City and say "Oh its the same old trying to cram ideas into one map to get a "WOW" factor....don't even call it a gimmick. There are so many things in Internet City that are creative, thoughtful, and took a hell of a lot of more ingenuity then most of you are giving them credit for.... - The circuit board out of golf holes - Amazon Tower - The Dial-up coaster - The loading bar - WMP and Itunes - Porn section (Cumshot coaster, kids grow up)
Really, Kayte Ridge only had a few interesting points....the Carousel was cool....the Rocket Coaster and its area was nice.....and some of the buildings around the entrance were nice.....but it also had god-awful shit like the Two S&S towers with a 15 foot queue and no indication of a station whatsoever....The two non-working rides (or ornaments)....and the poorly done (IMO) haunted house ride. Calling Kayte Ridge the best realistic park ever is a huge stretch in my mind... its a "nice" realistic park, but really it just seems like its built "Not to lose" instead of built "to win," which Internet City is.

Indeed they did.
However, it still stands that the park (if you can be so gracious as to call it such) is cluttered, disorganized, and doesn't flow.
Don't lose sight of the forest for the tree, Fatha'.

And so is the actual internet. The internet isnt so basic and easy to follow as you seem to think it is. I think it actually adds to the parks effect that it is a lil messy, as is the internet.
Not tryin to offend you. I hope I stated the above right.
Wait a second, you're saying we're losing now because someone by accident voted for the other park instead of ours? you can't make it that sour to lose. (possibly) (since it is this close)
seeing the way the votes are going as well as the discussion, i think a tie would be the most 'fair' result.
but who is to say, he wanted to change his vote because he discovered the other team is winning. it would be too easy to vote for 1 team see the results and then go, oh no i didnt want to vote for them, change my vote to the other team
We set this up last year. Five day rule. If the vote is too close to call, we wait exactly five days and call the game as it is. If you lose by one, you lose by one. Remember, Hurricanes lost by a COMBINED two votes in the Finals last year. It happens.
So July 25, 2006. 10:00 PM PDT. aka July 26, 1:00 AM EDT. And I don't wanna figure out what it is on British and German times cuz I can't remember if it's 8 or 9 hours ahead of me.
So wait... Thrice's vote counts for them, but doesn't count for our team?
At the very least can't it just not count. I mean, fair is fair, but he admitted that he voted for the wrong team. I wouldn't want our team to possible lose out of a simple mistake... that doesn't make much sense.
Five day rule seems fair, i dont think there will be many more people voting though, would be such a shame if we lose now, i still havn't seen us go behind yet lol.
Anyway i havnt posted my views on the other park yet, so here goes...
The orange coaster crashed when i first opened, and i had the volume up full so yeah, it scared the shit outta me. But apart from the crashing, the coaster was really nice, well executed and quite realistic, however i dont think ive seen an intamin transfer track like that before, however ive only ever seen one lol. Some bits were nice, the woodie for instance was pretty average, although i was under the impression that John Allen coasters had no banked turns aswell. There was only one piece of architecture in the park that appealed to me, and that was the tiered restaurant near the centre, i thought that was made to perfection. But apart from that restaurant, and the rocket coaster, the park was extremely average, and failed to keep my attention for more than 2mins.
I loved internet city because of its ingenuity, its humour and the fact that it gave a damn good vision of what the internet would look like, if it were a city. Which i guess is what it was intended to do. Anyway great job on this guys, but remember, dont steal my dodgem-football idea next time without permission.

I think it's one of the best parks I've seen.
The simplicity reveals its quality.
