In a disappointing round (due to the only forfeit of the Elite , we saw the "underdog top seed" (a bit of an oxymoron) take out the favored #2 seed, the impressive Phatage. JKay, who many thought didn't deserve the #1 seed has proven that he has, being the only #1 seed to first make it to the Elite 8, and continuing that to the Final Four. Phatage, who's had a pretty impressive run goes down after not being able to finish, after beating Steve and Supertrooper on his way to JKay. Congrats once again JKay, and good luck against the imposing Cork.
OLY SHIT!!! So THIS is what the competition is like! And he's good!
This is by far my favorite entry from you.... prolly ever, JKay. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but this was a wakeup call. The atmosphere was absolutely thick in immersion, and I adored all the little flat rides. The coaster itself was pretty cool, sort of a faster version of AIR, though not too intense. More attractive was the architecture and environment. The custom scenery and specialized rides helped, but I loved little details like Eyeball Soup and Black Widow. The monorail Capilaries were an awesome touch, and I like the use of the "water/flame thingy" that looks like water splashing up after something's been dropped into it... or a boiling bubble popping.
This has a great chance of being best of genre... heck, if I didn't want to vote for me, I might very well vote for this. In my self-depreciating book, this entry beats mine. I absolutely loved it.
Congratulations big time, JKay! Even if Phatage had entered, I think he would have been presented with a very strong challenge! Kudos my friend! (Take it easy on me next round, 'Kay?)

I wouldn't go that far Corky!. I was blown away by Paleos last round and I can't wait to see what you cooked up this round. I also look forward to the intense competition next round and I have a gut feeling that the judging next round may come down to the quality of our track designs and not as much on theming being we are fairly matched in that skillset. Your track design skills far outweigh mine, so I need really need to step it up! But bring it! I can be a smartass too btw
Blah? To my knowledge... my coaster track designs always suck. At least according to most people. I dunno. It will definitely be fun, and though I don't intend on losing, a defeat wouldn't be heartbreaking (as compared to... say... Captain Kumba ).
That entry totally kicked ass. I hope you do not mind me saying but the coasters layout was awful, but the architecture more than made up for that. Amazing piece of work here JKay, the theme is great and i love the way you adapted colours to fit the haunted theme. Simply, superb...
Shame Phatage did not get his entry in though- i would loved to have seen what he would have produced, i had Phatage tipped to win this whole tournament!
Can you say.. mini mala?? Great entry.. so creative, and there was a lot of skill here. your 1/4 tile block spider could totally kick my 1/4 tile block spider's ass. It was so overwhelming and just WOW. I liked all the little touchs like the monorail swimming around in the blood. Hehe. Your only two main problems were the coaster layout and landscape/foliage... you should really try to work on those.
Excellent entry Jkay, with a lot of awesome ideas in there. The eyeball soup was an excellent one. And you really went halloween with the pumkin village and the trick or treat area, so props on that. The coaster layout, to me, was horrible. But that didn't bring the entry down that much, as the theming was fantastic, and probably the best I've seen from you Jkay, which is saying a lot. So well done, and you would have given Phatage a good run for his money if he hadn't forfeited.
Sorry guys that I was unable to enter, but I've been swamped with work lately. I hate to enter things in either rushed or not finished like the Hades entry, and I decided that sending in nothing was better than what I had. It was actually going to be themed to a haunded hay ride that turned out to be authentically haunted, as it started with a cheesy themed hay ride and then turned into something much more... I wanted to do something similar to Unfriendly Invador but it would have been more realistic, and I do hope to complete it for a design and maybe show some screens in the ad. It would've been a lot like Corky's outstanding entry with much less architecture and a much more subtile look but I would be going for a sort of creepy atmosphere if you get what I'm saying.
J, I loved your theming. Your ideas with the allotted scenery give you the ability to make new scenery in the game by merging existing pieces together in effective ways. The atmoshpere was your usual complex yet playful feel which I like a lot, and the amount land you filled without having to copy buildings over and over but instead had new ideas for each new thing was very impressive, probably my favorite part about the entry. Sadly however, the coaster was imo your usual which isn't too appealing to me, I felt that the layout was not fluid nor was aesthetically pleasing and the ride almost looked like it didn't fit in most places, along with the uneventful pacing. I did think the first inversion was cool and had good scenery interaction, but basically the ride was a climax right after the lift and then some slow turns around the scenery into the station. I think that if you can improve your coasters though that you can be one of the best at this game, your creativity seems to come from a bottomless pit and out of that same pit seems to come your productivity. Keep up the good work, and I must say it would have been a tough battle.

I found it really fun to look at. Although the coasters layout wasnt the best, the themeing was amazing. Congrats on the win (even if it was forfeit)
