Clevedon Pleasure Beach, a thriving UK seaside amusement park, made headlines in 1925, when it debuted its Boardwalk Blazer wooden coaster, now regarded as a true coaster classic. However, over the next 50 years, like many British seaside resorts, the golden age glory soon evaporated, as consumers began to plan their holidays elsewhere. The park shut down, and as of 2003, all that remained of the classic pleasure beach was its old pier, a few old rides and the Boardwalk Blazer, which ironically was boarded up, and stood idle.

Fast forward to 2007, and Clevedon Pleasure Beach is just 6 months away from reopening, as developer Michael Shearer prepares to propel the park back into the public's attention, and restore its age-old glory.

"I just couldn't let it die," Mr Shearer explained, "The Boardwalk Blazer is a British classic - in fact, the entire park is - it has such a rich history, I just couldn't watch it decay any longer." Mr Shearer purchased the old site from its previous owners, and began a lifelong dream to revamp and renovate the park.

"The main problem was space," he continued, "We needed more space for bigger attractions to get the public back. However, we couldn't buy more land... So we built another pier instead!" Standing alongside its older cousin, the new pier, titled 'The Grand Pier' is 75% completed, and showcases some of the park's new attractions. "We realised we needed to retain the traditional feel of the park, but we also needed big rides... we've done just that, and have even built some UK firsts!"

Old rides have been relocated and renovated (the Log Flume has been moved to the Old Pier) and new, huge rides have been added. Delirium is an Intamin Ball Coaster - a UK first - which spins riders off the Grand Pier, hurtling towards the ocean. Cliffhanger features a 95 degree drop... Sea Breeze Coaster treats riders to ocean views...

Shearer added, "We've attempted to retain the historic vibe, and due to our lack of space, we've really squeezed the attractions in. But we've also really made use of our location by the sea - on several rides, guests will feel like they're about to plunge into the water!"

Another highlight is 'the Legacy', a huge wooden coaster built by the Gravity Group - a European first. Its name is a nod to its older (but much smaller) brother, the Boardwalk Blazer, which kickstarted it all. The rides are all in place, but there is still a lot of structural work to be done - restaurants need furnishing, ride-stations need roofing, token booths need constructing, benches need fitting and additional supports are needed for the coasters and piers to protect them from the strong sea winds.

"Yeh, there's still a lot of work to do, but we aim to open within the next 6 months," Shearer admitted, "But I'm really proud of how we've breathed life into the old park, and through renovation, we've really rejuvenated it. The new attractions should open up new doors and hopefully, we can restore some of the golden-age glory back into the park. I've seen seaside parks at Southport shut down, but others, at Blackpool and Southend, are now thriving. I want Clevedon to become like those."

Notes:
- Yes, the park is unfinished. We got an Error Trapper which we couldn't get rid of. No other park was ready to submit, so when we got rid of it (a hack wasnt working) we had to rush to finish this. Sorry. If it was finished, it'd be better, but in a way, it complements the story of how the park is being renovated.
- The park is totally intended to be crowded, with attractions totally crammed in. We wanted to retain a pleasure beach vibe, and most parks of this type are very crowded. With guests, I'm sure it'd have a bustling, busy atmosphere.

I helped make this one and all I will say is that it was very rushed. I think there were a lot of good ideas going on - and for that it's certainly worth a download - but we did rush this park to get it in by the deadline. The latter parks are much better

I downloaded and checked this out. The intamin coaster with the vert lift was pretty cool. I thought the brown woodie's layout was just too big for this park though. But your piers had some interesting footers going on. All in all not bad.

Water parks are the new theme parks – they’re cropping up everywhere and are becoming the number one family attraction around. One could argue that the water park market is over-saturated (pun intended) – nowhere else more so than South California. The weather is hot, the tourists are visiting – the abundance of water parks is not surprising. Therefore, the pressure to be the best-value park, with the best attractions is all-important.

One water park that has reacted to the recent surge in the market is Splashdown San Diego. It has existed since the 1950s – though admittedly, not as a water park, and instead a small family-owned recreation park. However, it later began to diversify and add water slides to its small attraction line-up. Now a full-blown water park with over 20 splashtastic attractions, Splashdown remains one of the few family run water parks in So.Cal.

However, recently the park has had to invest heavily to keep itself ahead of new competitors. 2007 marks the final installation of a multi-attraction deal Splashdown penned with water-slide hotshots, ProSlide. The contract saw Splashdown add three incredible new attractions – ‘Coriolis’ – two side-by-side Mammoth Bowl Slides, using Cloverleaf technology (installed in 2005) ; ‘Maelstrom’ – a Tornado slide, also utilising the Cloverleaf rafts (opened in 2006) ; and finally, ‘Upsurge’. Upsurge is only the second slide of its type in the world, and the first in So.Cal. It uses magnetic propulsion to power rafts up the flume, creating a revolutionary roller-coaster like ride.

This triple whammy of new attractions has, like the slide’s name, created an upsurge in attendance at Splashdown. These three thrill slides are in addition to the crazy Calypso (where riders drop into a valley-shaped slide) and the whirlwind Hurricane (three speed slides). But Splashdown not only caters for thrill-sliders – there’s a whole Galleon for kids to explore! All-round family fun can be found on the recently-renovated Raging River (a lazy river… with attitude!) and the Lightning Falls tube slides. There’s also those water-park classics: the Lazy River, which travels round Whirlpool Bay – a swimming pool which every 15mins becomes a wave-filled paradise.

However, Splashdown isn’t done there. Even though the 3-slide deal with ProSlide has ended, the old Ice Mountain Splash slides have been closed, ready for removal, as the park gear up to add yet another new attraction. The park is promising a world-first water slide, but like us, you’ll have to wait for the announcement later this year. The future of water parks is certainly looking bright – but it’s looking brightest of all at Splashdown San Diego.

Creator Notes:- Ok, we took a gamble and made a water park, not a standard theme park. Nowhere in the rules does it say you have to make a theme park for SS2! So yeh, it's a bit of a gamble, especially as the slides don't operate, but it was worth a shot I think.

- The Proslide Tornado doesn't look great, but again, it was worth a go! I haven't seen a decent one created, but I reckon this, although not great, is one of the better ones. You just HAVE to have a Tornado in a water park!

Shemlock Hills opened in 1959 as a small shopping centre along the Pennines Mountains, catering to the inhabitants of Derbyshire. Mothers could run their necessary errands, while they left their children to ride the Grand Carousel and play in the adjoining gardens. Many years after business began to pick up at the shops, a neighboring family of 1.2 miles decided to purchase the land from the previous independent shop owners in hopes to expand the area with new attractions to bring in more customers.

Their first improvement action was taken in 1971, when they converted the beautiful gardens into the thrilling and challenging, "The GREAT GARDEN MAZE". Very little has changed with this attraction since its first renovation, and it still stands today as one of the park’s most popular attractions. In 1978, the Hillier family decided to turn the establishment into a newer concept of a full-fledged 'theme park' when they constructed the Wilderness area behind the shopping centre that featured a Bradley & Kaye roller coaster. The grand opening of this new land coincided with the shopping centre's name change to "Drury Lane", the introduction of the "pay-to-enter" policy, and the announcement of the park's new name- Shemlock Hills. From that point business boomed, bringing in thousands of guests each year.

News of the hot spot reached the ears of the Tussaud's Group who quickly approached the Hillier family with an offer to buy the park for $3.3 million dollars. A good deal, thought Grandma and Granddad Hillier, who signed the contract handing the park over to Tussaud's just months before both of their deaths. The new owner's quickly installed new rides and attractions including the launched shuttle looping coaster "Zipp-o". With this boom in the park and new attractions elsewhere the town and surrounding areas kept growing greatly. Noticing this, the town decided to install a new airport since there wasn’t one around for 100 miles, they had a great parcel of land situated for it and could help bring more tourists and revenue in which was needed in the area.

The transaction was set with everyone including the government and construction started. After several months and working through the heavy down pours of rain the airport was finally finished. This new airport was built only ¾ mile away from the park which caused several problems between the park and the airport. The owners of Shemlock Hills and the town met to solve them and came out with an agreement that was finally settled upon, stating that no building or attraction could exceed the height 65 feet. The removal of "Zipp-o" was regretfully a necessity, as it reached a staggering height of 75 feet above the ground. This bump in the road did not stop Shemlock Hills managers with coming up with thrilling rides that still stayed beneath the 65 foot height limit. In the past years the Tussaud's group has looked to roller coaster designing firms Intamin AG, Maurer Sohne, and Bolliger and Mabillard to help create some of the most wild and innovative coasters in the world including Obyss, Spinball Inferno, Turbo MAX, and the new flying coaster, The Battle. Shemlock Hills is now considered among many the coaster capitol of central England.

NOTES: -Watch out for error trappers zooming in and out and rotating positions near the front gates.
-We wanted to take the best of the Tussaud's Group's (Now Merlin's Entertainment) works and add our own personal touches and ideas to create a well-rounded theme park for guests of all ages.

Opened in 1996, on the outskirts of Perth in western Australia, this mighty new theme park was the first Busch Gardens park to be constructed outside of USA. The first major Australian theme park to be built away from the country’s Gold Coast tourist hot spot, Busch Gardens Australia contains over 30 rides, shows and attractions for all the family. Themed to the continent in which it is built, the park is divided into six distinct areas, each offering a different Aussie experience to every park guest.

Your day begins in the beautiful entrance plaza, based on the famous Australian state, Victoria. As well as the family Koala Coaster and historic carousel, this main street is lined with shops, stores and leads into the park’s central hub, Sydney Harbour. Here, you can walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, take a cruise around the harbour, grab a bird’s eye view of the park on the Sydney Tower or the Australia Wheel, or even catch a show at our Sydney Opera House replica.

Lining the park’s edges are the remaining four themed experiences, all full of incredible rides. Beginning in the ‘Australian Bush’, challenge our latest monstrous attraction – Saratoga – a ‘dive machine’ with vertical drops, loops and a water splash! Also jump aboard the Wallaby Bouncer or sway in the breeze on the Crocodile Swing.

Next up is the ‘Outback’, which contains Uluru, a revolutionary special effects show, inside the mysterious Ayers Rock. Dare you take on Baayami, our most exciting and intense coaster. Based on the adventures of the indigenous Australians’ god, Baayami came down from the sky to the land, and created rivers, mountains, and forests. Be prepared to get soaked on Yowie Falls,where you may just catch a glimpse of a yeti! For the kids, there’s also Dingo, a crazily fun spinning sensation!

‘New Zealand’ is our next stop – snow-capped mountains and rock pools await you here; as does Aoraki Fire! Subjecting you to five fearsome inversions, a forest fire storms through the mountain range, toward the village and farm below - you’ll be screaming for more! If you’re stomach’s survived Aoraki Fire, be sure to grab a bite here in some of the park’s best restaurants.

Finally, enter our largest area, ‘Coast’ and take on our fourth huge coaster, the wooden behemoth, Kanguru. The name ‘Kanguru’ was first recorded by Captain James Cook on the banks of the Endeavour River when HM Bark Endeavour was beached for almost seven weeks to repair damage sustained on the Great Barrier Reef. Get scared silly on our chilling 4D show, R.L. Stine’s Haunted Lighthouse, and brave the waves on our floorless top spin ride, Wave Rider. Completing the area is Busch Gardens Australia’s most unique attraction; the Great Barrier Reef Experience. This walkthrough underwater adventure will give you a glimpse of the incredible marine-life you would see at the actual Great Barrier Reef.

Talking of wildlife, there are many ‘Animal Meet ‘n’ Greet’ spots around the park where you can get up close and personal with some of Australia’s rich wildlife. Throughout the day, you can expect to have animal encounters with koalas, snakes and spiders! When you can have these amazing experiences on top of our world-class line-up of roller coasters, rides and shows, Busch Gardens Australia really is the perfect family day out!

But they were pretty nice parks, fun to watch. They all had some pretty big weak points, although every park had something I could pick out that I *really* liked. Definitely some interesting stuff, you don't see parks of this size and quality all that much anymore.

Disney’s newest resort, Disneyland Hong Kong, opened to mixed reviews in 2005. Although the park attracted many visitors, it had a severe lack of rides, and a second park has been on the drawing board for quite some time. Now finally, we can reveal to you: Disney Studios - Hong Kong.

This incarnation of Disney Studios features a whole host of movie-related rides, shows and attractions – some found in other Disney parks across the world – others totally unique to this park! Before you explore the park, have a read of what’s in store for you:

Disney Studios will take you behind-the-scenes more so than you could ever imagine! You’ll be thrust right into the sets of some of your favourite flicks on the ‘Great Movie Ride’, and can even seen how a movie would be filmed and put together in the ‘Backlot Tour’. Every aspect of film-making is covered here at Disney Studios – even movie soundtracks. You can check out our modern ‘Recording Studio’ and may even glimpse some famous artists using our facilities!

Talking of music, get ready to rock on the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’! This fast and furious limo coaster will turn your world upside down! Unlike previous incarnations of the ride, you can choose which music score to listen to! Choose from a selection of five great rock songs to blast out of the coaster car stereos during your wild ride!

Perched high above the park is the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Dare you enter this abandoned hotel, where all is not quite as it seems. Soon you’ll find out that you’ll be journeying into the Twilight Zone, in the ‘Tower of Terror’! Disney Studios also uses the trademark Fastpass system on several of the most popular attractions, to reduce your wait time, and contains all the traditional elements of Disney parks – there’s even a parade to see! So jump aboard a wild ride, see a show and go behind-the-scenes like never before, at this movie lover’s paradise; Disney Studios - Hong Kong!

- Although the park carries the name ‘Hong Kong’, all we intended to create was a Disney Studios park. However, all present Disney resorts have a second park, with many of the traditional Studios rides, except Hong Kong. Thus, instead of inventing a new Disney resort, this park carries the name Hong Kong. It isn’t intended to have a Hong Kong feel at all – as you will notice, all the ride names are in English!
- Glitches / bugs etc. We advise you to use the RCT2reliABLE patch to prevent hacked rides from constantly breaking down. Furthermore, without this patch, some of the many hacked rides are prone to crashing.
- Several of the attractions (e.g. Lights! Motors! Action! and the Backlot Tour) are supposed to have invisible track, but unfortunately this is not possible without the game crashing!
- We have left the roofs and walls off some attractions (e.g. Hyperion Theatre) just so you can see the interior.

Normally i don't like realistic parks but i like this one quite a bit

But i think you made to much shows on it. "That Lights! Motors! Action!" is quite orginal but why you don't make the track invisable?

Wow... just wow. Probably one of the best parks I've seen in a LONG time. Everything in it is amazing. I'm biased, as I work at the Studios. But with that, I must say, the entrance plaza and crossroads are spot on. I LOVE the Hyperion, and the Chinese theater made me pee a little. I also REALLY liked the way you fit Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in that little space.
My only little issues are the Lights Motors Action track and that escalator in Fantasmic.

Congratulations on the win, you all deserved it. It's sad that a lot of people here will probably never look at this amazing park.

OMG, i LOVED this last one

Wenn i downloaded it. i was like: WOW this isn't normal anymore.
And i discovert it like 2 weeks.

The thing i liked the most is the Pirates ride.
Beautiful hacks and a good layout, a good movie to base it on and i liked the theming.

But the most i liked Tower of Terror the most.
I have ride it in Disney Paris and i liked the way you did the lift-shafts

and wel that's all :lol:
