This is one of the more astounding parks I can ever remember seeing, cannot recommend opening it in-game highly enough

I hope we work together someday

Yooooooo, this is very impressive! I agree with walto, this park is 100% worth downloading and viewing in-game. Awesome stuff, Roomie!

  • Ge-Ride%s's Photo

Really neat! I don't want to spoil it but make sure to turn it around when you see it in game.

Amazing Roomie, this is one of the coolest pieces of RCT I've seen outside of H2H.  The chaser lights on the Big Dipper were especially cool.  Fantastic submission.

This is a great aesthetic, I love this clean style that feels like a cross between a pop-up book and an old school 2d platform game. Tons of small scenes and details to watch, with those sky and weather effects make this so lively and fun to watch.

The setting, perspective, and little scenes with the chapel, the steam engine, and the farmland gives this a folk art look imo. The first scene looks like something I'd see hanging on the wall at my grandma's house, and the last two scenes look like something out of an old children's book, and I mean that in a good way.

This is such an impressive release. Despite the fact that this is basically 2-dimensional, it has such a great sense of depth. Just the fact that you went out of your way to make a smaller rollercoaster in the distance is commendable. It's one of those parks that really stretches the limitations of the game and blurs the line between rollercoaster tycoon and art.

This is why we love Roomie. I love how RCT is your playground, looks like this was so much fun to make. I voted 85% clearly because of the awesome innovation and great object usage across the map. Would've voted higher with a larger story-driven narrative to go from sun-rise to sun-set. Still this is pretty damn special.

I'm speechless, amazing, I loved this park :)

Astounding. We saw glimpses of this sort of perspective years ago with building challenges, but to do something of this scale is quite extraordinary. Hard to say one area that I enjoy the most - maybe the theme park?

This is clearly RCT, but it feels uncanny on the diagonal. Like it's its own art style. Reminds me perhaps of early South Park.. especially the concert scene. The various weather conditions also quite sell this well. The sunset at the airport in particular.

    All around fantastic stuff dude.

Simply unreal. Did anyone besides me click the "see-through scenery" option? If not, you probably should, just to take a look at the madness underneath. The amount of precision and ingenuity to pull something off like this is astounding. And the aesthetics are exquisite. One of my favorite creations ever. Thank you for building this.

What a cool spin on RCT's inherent isometry. The joy of this project comes from the technicality and the novel viewing experience, even if by traditional aesthetic metrics it is limited in what it can accomplish in my subjective opinion. Nevertheless, the 2D style certainly lends itself to an interesting look that almost reminds me of a children's cartoon. My favorite moments are the airport/airplane silhouettes, the haunted house 2D ride, and the 2D outline of The Big Dipper. Incredible. This park is an easy 100% on the technical side.

Given that aesthetics is primarily what this project sets out to do, as a panelist I respect that and place an outsized importance on it when factoring into my score. With that said, due to the inherent aesthetic limitations and simplifications, I landed on an 80% score. The way I thought about it was, I would be completely willing to award somebody parkmaker status for the sheer ingenuity here, but maybe not a red name. Is that a helpful, productive benchmark? Debatable. But I used it as a heuristic in this case.

Last thing I will note, I appreciate how the train travels through all four sections and provides a sense of cogent unity. Cool stuff, Roomie!

Hello guys! I need some help, when i try to open this park with OpenRCT2, i got a error: "the file contains invalid data".

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Really wanna see in game this rct art! Thanks

Very likely have to update to the latest version of ORCT2. Pick your respective version from the latest release here under "Assets": https://github.com/O...enRCT2/releases

I remember you showing me a glimpse of this in DM's a while back. This is NOT what I was expecting.  I thought you were just experimenting for the sake of it. I haven't been this impressed on a technical level since probably H2H9 with the two stardust parks. I love how the diagonal effect compliments the overall cell shaded-esque aesthetic a lot. The subtle story telling and fleshing out of the world is really cool too, not to mention how each view moves through separate time frames during a day.  The obvious comparison here is A Year in Winklehiem, but so much more technically mind-blowing.  I do have a few critiques, which are mostly nitpicky. The impulse coaster would have made more sense with the correct track type. Maybe there is something with the hack that made this impossible, but I played around with it and impulse for the spikes and raised giga track for the straight away looks very convincing.  The other small thing is the train on the Casino Shuttle coaster train throws of the shadow effect. Void might have blended in too much but black would have made the train stand out enough while maintaining the effect. You always push the boundaries for what's possible in this game and I hope that never changes. I'm really excited to see more of the project you're currently working on/showcasing as well. Congratulations on  the 80% gold because it's well deserved!

Congrats on the gold, well deserved! This was such a fun map to look through, awesome aesthetic and so creative! Sometimes im not even sure im playing the same game when i look at some of these creations haha. Great job Roomie!

ok yeah this map in bananas. deserved high score, almost glad i missed the vote as i'd have struggled where exactly to put it.

i think it's definitely one of those things where no one else will appreciate exactly the effort involved, as no one else has built this way before. obviously my guess is LOADS, but it's so far beyond my imagination that honestly i've got no idea.

the scale of it is truly impressive... like, the concept is amazing. but then most people would do a little bit and be like "tada" there you go, a new idea. you've followed it through to the n-th degree, which i admire a lot.

congrats on the gold, really happy to see this.

  • MrTycoonCoaster%s's Photo

    congratulations :)

I cant even comprehend how this was done.  Such a cool take on what we know is RCT2.  Well done!

Just seeing this now - Wish that we saw more stuff like this!  The one angle wonder is such a fun idea and this is executed so well.

Super charming; thanks for posting, Roomie!
