Description
Just your typical 1960's Arrow Mine Train.
4th place finish in DKMP RCC 64 Mine Train Contest.
I made a 1960's Arrow Mine train in NCSO. Just your standard, run of the mill, family coaster - complete with an unnecessary amount of lift hills, winding through tunnels and forested terrain. The coaster is flanked by a rare sight these days, an Arrow Launched Loop - but it wouldn't have been rare in the 80's! Hopefully you enjoy the winding path, lush foliage, and retro ride selection as you explore the park, looking in buildings and searching for peep scenes. - No fans of this park

Congrats on your NE debut my dude! As I mentioned in my original review, there's a lot of influence from Swag and Mekkit that you proudly wear on your sleeve, and that's a good thing. Park is clean as a whistle. Details are as crisp as a fine dining dessert. As for the mine train (or The Mine Train as I should properly refer to it as ), I think it's perfectly faithful to what Arrow did for their mine trains. You definitely did your homework with this one. For me, this is a clear design winner, even if the coaster isn't as impressive as say, a B&M invert.

This is packed full of so many clean and well executed tricks. Stuff like the stairs, water edges, tunnels, fences, all great stuff. Main and supporting coaster, both capture the odd and classic feel of old arrow rides. Also got a good laugh out of the names...

I actually really like this. I think the foliage needs some work, but the structures and the layout of the park are great. I love that it's not merely a grid and that the path has a very organic layout.

It was really cool watching this come together during the build process. For my money, this is a really nice, clean design attempt that maybe just misses the mark for me for that 65% rating. I think where this design could have improved the most was through macro planning, which is hard because it's not just "one thing." Maybe denser layout for all the buildings, or just generally a more big-picture plan for how buildings, infrastructure, ride track, and path layout come together. I know this comment might seem unfair, but that's not my intention. I also know it was a time crunch, so mad respect on that end.
The layout was really solid, and I appreciate that you went for a more janky Arrow Mine Train. I love the BBQ area with the pig sign. So fun and so cute. Again, really solid attempt here and I know great things from you are immenent.

Solid Coaster Layout, some rough edges here and there and I don't like the water color. Awesome to see you improve so quickly!

Nice work!
+ Mining structures around areas were great
+ Coaster was fun to watch and gave me all the right mine train moments, maybe a bit slow at times
+ Custom signs were great
+ The ice cream stand was really well done
- Foliage needed work for me especially the sporadic square flower patches
- The glitching on the mine track on a large turn was a bit off-putting

lots to like here, some really clever tricks and object usage that i enjoyed exploring.
- the big elevated building before the last drop is really cool
- loved the bbq sign
- the steps are a really clever way of creating something new and hiding the views that don't quite work, very effective
- the larger buildings were great
i didn't love the foliage overall, especially the flowers kinda threw me off a bit.. they just didn't seem natural which was kinda jarring. but lots of good stuff in here, looking forward to seeing your next thing!

Overall its a nice slice of a park, but this didn't hold my attention for too long sadly. The basic supports for the coaster were a bit of an interesting design choice given that so many Arrow Mine Trains have wooden supports. Layout is properly boring like a typical Arrow so thats good! A bit too meandering though. Overall a bit simple in terms of archy and foliage as well. A lot of promising work though.

Thanks for the reviews, the ratings and the accolade everyone!
This park actually almost never came to be. I did the layout and the station and it sat there for a couple weeks until the staircase popped into my head. Honestly if it wasn't for that diagonal staircase working out well, I don't think I would have finished the park, so it was a nice little surprise!
I'm pretty happy with the end result, it definitely has the 'generic Six Flags stuff' vibe I was going for when I set out, but I agree with SSSAmmy's thought, it doesn't have all that much character.
The foliage definitely could have used more love, I slapped it down the morning before the park was due for the contest, but I honestly don't the the time crunch affected it too badly. Overall, I had fun with this I'm sure there's more to come.

Still a solid release considering you nearly didn't finish it and an accolade! Congrats on the first release, excited to see more from you.
