I'm going to stand by my original gut instinct and still say that it's just TOO inspired by Blackpool for more liking. I went back and had a look at the park again, to see if it'd change my initial impression, but I still see the over-inspiration from Blackpool. I think using Blackpool as an influence is fine - ie. drawing ideas from it - but there's just way too much similar stuff here for me, which makes me say that I think it's bordering on recreation.
You've already mentioned the ride names, seaside location and the Big One and Wild Mouse. (Which would almost be enough as it is.) On top of that there's - three 'classic' woodies, trams, a tower ride, a water chute (which Blackpool used to have) - heck, even the rumoured 400ft accelerator. You can argue that your version of the Big One is different to the actual one, but the first portion of the ride is strikingly similar. Also, I dunno, the fact that it's an Arrow hypercoaster rather than maybe an Intamin - it just is all TOO much. With a brief look at the overview, I'd have said that the only real notable difference is the colour.
Hey, I actually liked this park quite a lot - I'm just explaining why I didn't vote for it. My 'negative' comments here are just to explain why for me, rather than using Blackpool as an inspiration, it seemed like you just took a little TOO much, and only made small changes. But yeh, that's just my tastes / my opinion...

I think Southport is one of many examples of 'realism that didn't age well,' especially when compared to many similar style, more modern parks like bumbly beach. Those ride huts are ungodly.
The biggest thing that hurts this, however, is the lack of context given the size restrictions of h2h... if there was a beach with a sea of water instead of a sea of pavement, this would probably look much better.
With that said, there's still a lot of charm to this, it definitely has that crowded, seaside, blackpool feel. I like some of the architecture, especially around the shoot the chutes ride.
The layouts are really nice and I love how so many parks from this time feature rides under construction... the 'rumored 400 ft accelerator' leaves a lot to the imagination. And as weird as it is, I really like that compact river rapids ride. I'm also almost certain 'space invader' inspired me at some point as well.

spb is one of the great lost parks of h2h. it looked completely different (and completely unfinished) and louis had to save the day, turning it into something finished pretty much overnight. mad respect for louis for that. RRP is one of the greatest builders the game has ever known, and Sey also built some amazing stuff on the OG map. if only we had the means to bring it to life. (H2H5 FG's, does anyone have it?....)
