I just was not feeling the car park. Way to simple imo and the peeps seemed like an after thought (same with D&D tho). Also the crazy taxi had no station, come on. 6.3/10
D&D was neat, was Turtle said the ghost train was really good, its station was amazing. The park remined me of Tyandors work in some places which was nice. I liked the details too. Just the main ride being hard to run was annoying. I guess this will be the last Elementalist park this season which sucks as we will not see combos like Xcoaster/Levis/JiMeMo or Milo and Roomie kicking some LL ass. 7.2/10 good work and thanks for trying your best this season even if you did get shafted a few times.
heh thanks for the kind words although you wouldn't have seen any more work from me this season... I wasn't in line to do any finals parks
I guess at the very least we were more reliable than most probably figured, this was our only noticably unfinished park and overall I'd say we finished some quality stuff
I voted Car Park. I thought the concept was great, and whilst the execution was lacking, the park as a whole offered more. The traffic jam and actual car park itself was really nicely done and added to the atmosphere immediately. The actual park was a tad bare and had nowhere near enough rides - but the concept was there - and the few rides in the park were pulled off really well; Crazy Taxi, the Cop Car Chase, Car Wash. Ferrari coaster not so much, but oh well.
The Elementalists' park -- bored of the 'religious' themes concept. There was SOME good stuff in here, but the main reason for not voting for this was that there was one (unoperational) coaster in the park. As I've said before, RCT for me is first and foremost about the rides - and specifically the coasters. The only 'worthwhile' coaster in the park was unoperational. And yes you gave me a (poorly-designed) read-me to actually get it operational, but having seen how many steps were involved, I just don't have the time to work through all of that just to see what didn't look like an amazing ride anyway.
Yeah the elementalists have successfully produced awesome fantasy parks! Your first two weeks were really unlucky but it just shows what a good team you were completing every park you had to awesome standards no matter where you were placed on the points table.
Dam good effort Elementalists you guys went out with some awesome parks!!!!!
im sure everybody would only congratulate you and your teams work.
its evident as to the amount of effort and passion you guys put into all your parks, and that is major kudos.
that haunted house on the elementalist's map is fucking brilliant along with the statues and sculptures. unfortunately it was the only thing to truly hold my attention. the cool tower thing was pretty nifty too, i guess. however, i really enjoyed the car park. great ideas here and it looked very clean and tidy which i think echoes the park's idea nicely. great rides as well; i thought the crazy taxi was pulled off wonderfully and the colors were slick. the only thing i did not like about this park is that about 3/4 of it was basically under construction so i'm not sure if you were just pressed for time or just got lazy or if it was purely intentional. still kinda cool i guess. well done to both teams, but the flying germans edge this by far.
GOD, I wish I had RCT2 installed. These parks looks so cool. But, anywho:
Elementalists: You guys should be renamed the Bible Heroes. Seriously, everyone of your parks were themed either Heaven, Hell, Christian, or all three. The glitch coaster alone would fry my computer instantaneously. Love the giant monsters and giant castle. It seemed as though everything here was super-sized (even the dark ride mountain thingy!). And for keeping it close to your theme, I'd give you bonus points. Kudos to you guys.
Flying Germans: Goutentag, Germans! Really fun park to look at. The car wash ride is really interesting, and the Italian Job-style coaster is awesome! Theming here, in my opinion, is not as strong as the other park, but the overall tone and "feel" was very appealing. That's what I'd say would overturn the votes for many out there. Really wished the Ferrari ride was finished (but then again, every Ferrari-themed ride or park in the world isn't finished, so it makes sense. ) This was a great park, hands down. Oh, and please, I don't speak Dutch.
This match-up would be too hard for me to make up my mind. I've always liked both teams, but both brought really fine work to the table. If either of these teams makes it to the finals, boy, there will be REALLY HARD match-ups in the future. All I can say for the other teams out there is "Watch Out!" I wish both the teams the best of luck, and may the best man win.
kind of a tough round this time. I ended up going with Car Park.
I think I liked the style of the Elementalists park more, but there were plenty of things that just bothered me too much. First it was unfinished. The main coaster didn't even work. And the towers, which were fairly nice, were too clustered to allow for a good view of them...and the colors were pretty drab.
Car Park had the whole road and parking crap that I've never liked in any park...but once I got into the actual park, it had a good quality. It had a quaintness to it. Foliage and theming were excellent. I enjoyed the feel of it being a real park...I could certainly imagine walking around and enjoying some of the rides.
T.N.T. It's "Guten Tag" and we do not speak Dutch in Germany, even though one could argue the Netherlands are far too small to have an own country and thanks to global warming the coastline will soon be at the German border.
(Sorry to my dutch friends, but the invitation by T.N.T. was way too good to reject.)
I just had a look at the park by the Elementalists and while it had some great parts, the fact that there was no working tracked ride in it really bothered me. The sculptures all over the park are really nice, but from some views it just does not come together and looked like a huge mess, which made the park even harder to enjoy for me. If it was finished, I could see you winning this round which would have made round5 a lot more interesting.
Our park certainly is not the best piece of rct ever, but looking at the construction and the time we had for this, I am fairly happy with the result. I somewhat cannot see where the comments about the path layout and supports are coming from, but to each his own. Buckeye, we wanted to add this as the preshow to the carwash ride, but I think the queen would not be amused.
wooo not last place (barely)! Wow, so the captain or first pick on the opposing team went against us all 5 times. Guess that shows we were respected at least. Even though our record was pretty dismal. Still was fun though (some of the time), at least building Art of War was. And now we will have more time to finish our finals parks.
about our park:
Ivo build about everything
I did the coaster and the surroundings of it (the surroundings where done in one evening thats why they look crap).

But, it's probably better than "Guy that knows what a mouthful of shit tastes like".
Well, outside of most social circles anyway.

That's fine but I still don't think it makes sense to judge anything but the submitted product.
