I used to really get into these. I'd like to say I enjoyed them but they're always much more fun to watch from the sidelines that to participate.
They're both worthy parks. They both have flaws... If either was facing a park worthy of being remembered in a year or two (Battlefield RCT, Avaira Cove, Slime Meridian, etc) then they'd lose. But here was have a match up of two strong, but roughly even parks. Both better than the other in a couple aspects.

In all honesty though; Levis and camcorder, if your park went against any other park in week one, you guys would have won imo. Just faced the wrong park at the wrong time.

Both parks were great, but I felt that Kidderbrook was missing the charm that Eftelrama had.
There were bits in both parks that I thought were great, and it was difficult to decide, but Eftelrama's atmosphere just gave it a nudge forward.

Thanks for your vote Louis!

Oh, and you guys might want to refrain from putting 0 or O in the vote code as I was confusing the two and it was messing up my code for a while.

i still love kidderbrook btw

The o and 0 were causing some problems for me too in the previous match-up.. Don't know if it's possible to change that as the voting generator is random? (or is there just manually a code put in by someone?)

Kidderbrook: I liked the entrance area and the station for the woody a lot. I really liked how the station for the railway was underneath the woody's brake run and how the two buildings flowed into each other. The arcades and food stalls were nice, as were the little seating areas scattered about the park. The downside for me was the corner with the schwarzkopf and the log flume. It just seemed very bare and rushed compared to the rest of the park. Having said that, I liked how the schwarzkopf was timed so that the trains would pass by each other as one was cresting the first lift hill.
Eftelrama: the park was great in places but a bit lacklustrer in others. I adored the entrance area and the area with all the little stalls and the coin-operated horse. The ride placement in the park was very good, particularly the swinger at the entrance. I liked the use of custom queues too. If all the park was up to the standard of the entrance it would have been fantastic, but unfortunately I didn't like the areas around the B&M and the splash boats - they seemed very bland and empty compared to the rest of the park. The custom music and peeps gave this park a nice atmosphere but for me some of the areas were slightly too disappointing for me to choose this over Kidderbrook.

Funny.....because to me, if executed properly the 'realism style' can have more effect on a smaller park than on a larger one. IMO, it's easier to bring a larger park 'to life' than it is to do so on a smaller map where you're limited (space-wise) in what you can do to add atmosphere. Although, carrying the style throughout a larger park is obviously more difficult than on a smaller one, being able to add 'life' through realism on a smaller map is tougher to accomplish....but, if done properly can have more effect.

now why:
Kidderbrook
Now I always liked living parks and I always try to dont mess with the park while viewing it. so when I opened this park i was disapointed cause nothing was running and no peeps where walking etc. Now I can understand you close a park if the peeps are causing problems or when the park is to much hacked or to much fantasy to allow peeps in it. but here i didn't saw any reason. The park itself wasn't bad but the archy didn't really do anything. the rides weren't bad but nothing really special for me.
Eftelrama
Well I think every dutch person that ever visited the efteling recognises things in this park. The park was very eye pleasing altough most of the theming wasn't that overdetailed.
I liked some of the view in parts at the sides of the map. The center coaster was very intresting and the whole park felt living.
Thats why this park got my vote.

In comparison with previous matches, it misses some votes indeed..

I thought Kidderbrook was very nicely done. A lot of people are giving it shit because it's boring or dead or whatever, but I actually found it to be pretty captivating. Sure, it was a bit of a pain to open the rides, and peep-friendliness would have been nice, but I can't complain. I think we're all becoming spoiled anyway. Last year at this time, nobody was building peepable parks. Anyway, I thought both coasters were good. I preferred Osprey, as I really liked the first half of the layout and the color scheme. Cascade confused me a bit, as I've never seen an Intamin woody that looked like that, but whatever. It's probably just me. I did feel like the coaster was based more about looking good than being a good ride, though. Seriously, it looks like it would be a boring ride in real life. It does look beautiful in-game though. The log flume station was really nice, as was the execution of the flats. Train kicked ass as well. I really couldn't get into the kiddy area though. Something about half-assed kiddy sections on small maps have always bothered me. No park would spend that much time theming and building an area just so it can have two rides. One thing I really loved about that area, though, was the tree with the boardwalk built around it. I've never seen that done before. Great realistic detail. One last thing I would like to point out is the Log Flume. What is everyone's problem with this? Of course it's just sitting there. What is it supposed to do? I love how it meanders around Osprey's course. Real amusement parks do have log flumes like this. I don't know what all the hate is for.
Eftelrama was one of those parks that looked better from the overview than it did in-game. I really enjoyed the architecture for the most part. I thought that was undoubtedly the strongest point. I also loved how a lot of care seemed to be put into each individual flat ride. The atmosphere of the park was really nice, too, and it was nice to see all the peeps walking around. My biggest gripe with the park, though, is how unfinished it felt. The water ride was really pretty weak to be honest, as was the haunted castle thing. That one really got to me. Why build such a huge hill for such an unimpressive little piece of architecture? Also, the "dungeon" area seemed really half-assed. It was a great idea--I just feel like it was thrown together too quickly. Other parts of the park seemed very rushed. There was a lot of boxy landscaping, as well as overbearing areas of brown dirt which really took away from the nice atmosphere. Besides for that, the rest of the park was nice. I loved the coin operated horse, the entrance area, and the coaster in the center. That one was a lot of fun to watch. The steel coaster was a little bizarre and pointless to me, but it was by no means bad.
In the end, I went with The Minutemen. I will say that it was a close decision, but in the end I felt like the choice was clear. Great job to both teams though.
