dude! your park won "park with the best toilet facilities in the country!" award!
this calls for champaign!
it was good fun to look around, indeed
very remenisiant of the innocent old days
im gonna go carry on with me NCSO park now.
which also happens to be six flags holland.
Yeah, all these random things that you do could probably actually win some stuff here. They're certainly enjoyable enough to me.
I let in about 1,000 people and just watched them fill up the queue lines. That one train on Hex was certainly a killer, haha. I had about 300 people in the queue line at one point. You've got some pretty huge queues there. One thing,... I couldn't get to work, was to bring people over to the dive machine. It seemed like all the paths were working alright, but peeps just wouldn't run over there. Might have to mess with it some more later on!
I think I'd have to say I would've left Goliath (the mega) in there. I'd probably take that over the wooden, although I'm not entirely sure. Would've been cool to have maybe a larger wooden in the back or somewhere. Anyway, really like what you've done... hope you do some more stuff like that.
I really enjoyed looking at this. Very impressive for 4 days work! I loved the nostalgic feeling the park gave, reminded me of when I first got rct2...
Thorpe = You, so it's good
Park = An RCT2 park, so it's good
Thorpe Park = Your other park, so it's good
Holland = Dutch, so it's good
Thrope Park Holland = You making a park in the Netherlands, so its FUCKING AWESOME
Everything about this is a million times better than most other things!!
Your Thorpe Park series is among the better things I can imagine!!
You are among the top percetine of usefulness among people named "Daniel"
Thanks Posix for putting these all up! I loved Ripsaws work as a young NE'er, the coaster heavy but still fun themed designs were always fantastic. Certainly one of my most missed members.
By the way, I'm curious why you're interested in these parks? Coming from you I presume they have a nice atmosphere?
Awesome Hepta, thank you. I'll add the file to the DB soon.
I do think Ripsaw had a talent and quality in his work that was unique, yes. Best way I know to describe it is the kind of unpretentious design clarity paired with very special landscaping and path composition that together evoke great immersive atmosphere. A quality I would carefully like to dub the "British aesthetic sense", as you could usually find it similarly in other high calibre British players such as RRP and eyeamthu1 (some may include Xophe, too, I would probably say I can see it in SSSammy, as well).
