Description
RCC Entry for Deurklink's NCSO Monthly contest. It placed 9th place. I enjoy building realism and my goal was to to emulate a real life river rapids circuit from a park like Six Flags. Props to Shen Kitchen for the palette.

Definitely a realistic rapids ride.. so you nailed that aspect. Reminds me a lot of the rapids ride at Cedar Point.. simple but some good spots to get absolutely soaked. Station, queue, and a lot of the details like the 1k rock arch were nice touches. Outside of the ride though, it felt a bit lifeless. But, I can tell this was definitely a study in making a proper rapids ride more than anything.
lovely work indeed. certainly fits in that familiar modern ncso style but I like it. the station platform especially is great.

Such a shame this wasn't just a little larger overall and more developed aside from the ride itself. Would've loved to rate it higher, because you have some wonderful ideas and great NCSO cleanliness. Given how small this was, it was pretty full of atmosphere.
Found this a really nice entry, and probably one of the best river rapids in NCSO so far. But it deg needed more context as the edges were quite bare and could've used some extra spice.
Very solid NCSO techniques at play here! Like most others, I think this suffers a little from being size restricted - the wonderful buildings at the edge of the map feel like an add-on, and the pathing at the entrance to the ride is just a big dead zone. Had this been a bit more substantial of a main attraction with a bit more love given to the surroundings, I think this would have bumped up to Design for me. The skill and creativity is there, it misses a bit on overall execution from me.
Good job, I enjoyed a lot of this despite its smaller size. The theming itself is a tad plain but you've squeezed in a lot of subtle realistic details like the pumps and station area which flesh this out a bit. I really liked how you designed the rapids waterfalls along the sides too.
I'm with CC9 on this - Great techniques and impressive effort with NCSO. You're one of the top players with this style and it continues to show with each release. I just wish that you'd put out a full size map of this quality!
