Try skipping even that 1% ......

How can you/anyone know if someone is "lazy" just by sending in early......as nobody will have the time to work 24 hours and 7 days a week on an entry, sending in early can also mean one is a good "planner" (working hard the first days while knowing he/she will absolutely have no time during the last days......)

while sending in late can also mean one is just a lousy planner, or lazy......doing nothing the first days even if one has the time and only out of laziness using the last days/hours to send in just before the deadline......

so how can one know the difference?

Ok, don't want to begrudge you your 1% bias....., we all have our biasses and many of them are hidden to ourselves, while at least this one is known now and that is a good thing....so we will just take it into account then I guess.....if we need the 1%..:kumbasgreen:

    Kumba you're hilarious, seriously.

    bitches just can't win amirite!

Uhh it doesn't matter when you turn it in. Someone who turns an entry in 2 weeks before the deadline could do just as much work as someone turning it an 2 minutes before the deadline.

Damn I really worked hard on the first prelim and I send it in that early because 1) I'm working on the second prelim for weeks now and 2) I finished the entry.
    Simple as that ;)

I'm going to send in my second entry early too. But that's because I have to do a traineeship in Germany and I don't know if I'll have internet all the time - so what's wrong with that?

    The waterride round:

29thcookie: Well it was a bit empty. But it's nice you did a park for this and I'm hoping you'll join some other rounds.

Xin: I liked the bridge better. The layout was very long, but I liked the grey structure you've build there ;D

Lucas: Didn't had enough time to finish your RR? :) It was a very short layout. I think you could have make it longer. But the temple looked nice

Egghead: The park was nice. I liked the hack you've used and the clean and tranquil atmosphere you've created. The archy was nice too. But there wasn't anything there what hold my attention except the ride itself. The queue was boring too. But I liked it nevertheless.

Levis: Wow this thing was completely full of stuff ^^ You know my thoughts already. It was very nice to watch the whole ride operate. I agree about the greyness though.

J_K: Really nice little park you have there. The atmosphere was great and I liked some touches like the trident, the indoor drop, the sign, the screen, the show,...etc. But I was dissapointed that most of the buildings didn't serve any purpose. And I think that you could have sink the exit/entrance of that ferris wheel on the other side. It looked sloppy on the map edge. But all in all very nice work.

Can't wait to see the other rounds!

an entry should be judged as an entry. the maker, time sent in, fitle type, anything else should not matter. an entry is an entry and the contents is all it shoud be judged on. i dont like saying i won because i kept my park till the day before...

Okay, question: Does a coaster have to have theming? Cuz there are a lot of coasters out there that just have a plain ol' station. I know it probably won't get me victory, but I was just wondering if theming was a requirment.

And I believe that no entry should be jugded by the time it is sent in. However, I also think that if an individual send in an entry early, he or she is overconfident. I think it's a good idea to hold on to your entries and make sure you did everything right. If sending it in will allow you to work on other entries, you obviously can't multi-task.

BTW, I plan on entering the adventure ride prelim, and the create anything entry. Just thought I'd let everyone know, so that they can prepare for a tough competition. And my woody's 25% done, and it will kick some serious ass. I can guaruntee that. :woot:

    Hey,
    did you get mine?
Unfortunately I wasn't able to finnish but I don't care...it's just a contest and even if I'd work hard I would never win so I think other projects were just more important for me!

(to.rar will not be accepted). Reason?

Because I cannot send mine simply save game for pro tou 3 for mail?

Somebody shows to me better as to make to order a scene for I to be able here to compete?
  • egg_head%s's Photo
Kumba for some reason don't like rar (even if it's better because it can handle zip and rar).
If you have rar on your Computer do it like this. right-click the savegame, add to archive, then choose zip instead of rar and there you go. Send Kumba the zip package.

I got 3 entries, but one is non exported and I can't get it to open. I'll give that parkmaker a little time to fix it and send it in again, but I aint got all day and the results need to go up today.

And yes Fisch I got yours, sorry for not saying so sooner, but yesterday I was busy :p
