Japan started as a small, small mini-park, and kind of ended that way too. It is meant to represent four very different aspects of the far eastern island, Japan. It is quite an old project, and as mentioned before, small... However it has some cool bits like a huge vertical drop coaster down a skyscraper, a tight wooden coaster, a unique-design intamin coaster and a deadly famous metropole invert! Its not meant to be a huge, flashy park. But it does have a certain charm in parts and is worthy of some sort of release i feel. However we decided it was below the standard required to reach a runner-up. Ah well! I hope you enjoy it.
Neo Tokyo - X250 Samurai - Metropole Tsukaba Ricelands - OCF36 Bonsai - Richie + Steve
That was a great nice mini you guys made and I enjoyed looking through it, My favorite parts were the areas with Bonsai and The Samurai. Both were great coasters and I really liked the landscaping and theming around them. The architecture in those areas was nice and it gave a great Japanese atmosphere.
I loved every area but i did'nt really enjoy Neo Tokyo as much as the others.
Neo Tokyo- I loved the way the coaster droped into the sort-of trench with the foliage and the yellow and black 1x4 blocks, i though that was really creative and i could of imagined being on it. The ride itself was certainly unique and would be such a good ride, i also like how it looked being a single cart. The archy towards the area i guess just did'nt appeal to me but thats just me.
Tsukaba Ricelands- I thought the wooden coaster was a great addition and could'nt of been replaced as a steel coaster would of spoilt the ricelands kinda theme you were going for so, great choice. I also liked the simple archy and my favourite structure was the station. You used great colours and the flowers lining the path added to the atmosphere.
Bonsai- I can't decide which area was better, Bonsai or Samurai. I like them both as much. I liked the atmosphere in this area more but thats simply because of the beautiful architecture, you all did. Great coaster by richie and like X's area i could imagine being in the area seeing the coaster or even being on it. I liked the que line you did round the area and to me you used clever land elevation.
Samurai- Very good, very metropole. This was a great area and i loved your coaster. Poor panda's lol. I also liked your archy alot, you've all done a great job of reflecting japan and showing the different variations that you could do. Great park it was really enjoyable great work.
Everyone just download the park and comment, the park deserves more comments than this.
Especially Samurai and Bonsai, the invert had a really cool layout and the supports were well done. Everything is of course a bit small but I had a lot of exploring it.
I'm not sure which area I like best, and neither least as none of them drop "behind" the "standard" of the map which is rather high. It's really nice to see a club just do a very pretty park like this rather than trying to impresse everyone with another award.
I think the theming here (when paired with Turtles area in Isla Calabria) set the new standard for asian theming at a very high point.
Wow, I really enjoyed looking through the park. It captures a good Japanese feeling. Also with the modern part versus the tradititional part.
X250- It's a bit falling out compared to the other three parts, but nontheless splendid work! I really admire the way you use the grey, combined with the colourful! The coaster design is very well done, good with the compact lifthill, and also thre first drop is very well designed. ( Nad imo vertical coasters are hard to design, and you did well! The further layout shows smooth turns, with good landscaping! The only thing that seems weird to me, why those it consists of 4 different coasters?
The boats look a bit sad, though some interaction with the else so boring water is good, it stands a bit.. out of the rest.
OHCF36: Good job! Simple but effective archy. I love how you used the green flowers! The layout is good, and also the track choice is, compared to al those steel monsters. It's simple buildings but nontheless great! I like the you used quarter rooves on the sides of the main rooves.
Metro: Well, I ain't a fan of inverted coasters and this didn't make me one either. The landscaping seems a bit to brown, and the foliage is a bit empty. So that gives me a feel like the land is poor, like there was a brushfire or something. The station is nice and the other structeres look okay too.
Richie: There really isn't one complaint I can make about this! I looooove it!! The coaster's layout and colours are bright and inviting, and realistic! The theming just gave me goosebumps! I can't really express how good I think it is!
So, great job you all! This park truly was very inspiring to me!
Another new addition to the dabatase, and a very nice one at that. Steve isn't sure he worked on this park but I find the comments above to be quit convincing.
The park itself also definitely has some Steve charm, but the other players also showed up with some good work. X250 and Metropole are the biggest names on the roster aside from Steve, but their areas are not as good as the quaint and minimal area by OhioCoasterFreak in the centre. It's very peaceful and pretty, with a good looking woodie.

I'm glad this park has been preserved on NE now!
