hot diggity dog this is fyre.  I absolutely love this.  It has some really cool ideas and a very clever use of codex (I'm guessing it's codex heavy)  the layout is a bit lack luster since it kind just transports from one element to the next in a disjointed fashion, but I think it's fine.  That wall texture used next to the first loop is AMAZING!!! I do think that the sand on top is a bit overload, but that's really just on a macro level.  This isn't a negative, but i did notice a bit of glitching on the top of the lift for the invert. Not sure if that was unfix able or not.

Here are some things I enjoyed.

Cool arch and I love the use of the mini golf holes around the ruined pagoda. very creative.

Very well done, I want to give this somewhere in between a 75 and an 80. Just not sure which yet. I'll give it some time and we will see when it comes time to voting ;) Keep this Roomie Revival (Roomvival?) Going. I love it.

i like it but don't love it. i think you chose a really difficult theme to do in any rct, let alone LL. Its a bit wonky and boxy I felt, and my main impression of petra in real life was the narrowness and 'exploring' feeling of working through the cavern that I'm not sure you quite nailed, although it does of course widen out at the bottom. I did however spend my time there wondering what a speedy intamin coaster would look like navigating the canyon...

I'm very impressed by the egyptian style walls you've stacked by the loop. I'm not sure how you did that but it looks amazing and I'd love to experiment with that in a park

He separated the exterior of a pyramid and merged into a single tile. Just try a bit and you'll understand.

I love the setting but it feels very empty and the sheer frequency of the glitches is incredibly distracting. The first half of the layout is a little too slow, the latter half is too fast, but it does at least give nice contrast. Lots of cool touches with the wall though.

Great little design. I think the layout was pretty good.. I liked the slow beginning of the layout before the drop off the cliff.. that was neat. I think the theming is unique.. but maybe could've been done up a little more. I liked the ruins at the bottom of the map.. would be interesting to see a Persepolis sort of theme to a coaster.

Just gave the final vote on this. No win sadly, but as is evident by my vote I don't think it was design quality. What it is, is a nice collection of ideas and tricks, most of them effective, that just doesn't come together as a whole despite a common theme. It was inconsistent when it comes to both the aesthetics and the overall refinement. Some great moments though, like the pyramid blocks around the loop. I thought the layout overall was quite good. Congratulations not on the win, but on getting it out there! I enjoyed it and look forward to your next LL release whatever and whenever that may be!

Based off of my trip to the incredible Nabataean city of Petra in Jordan this design is a B&M invert that winds around the tombs of the famous old city.

Its quite difficult to get a feel of Petra in RCT as Petra itself is actually fairly empty once you get past the famous treasury. I made the decision to go more for that feel than a more RCT friendly over crowding of objects.

I thought I had lost this project when I upgraded my laptop but a little searching turned it up in a forgotten folder this week so here it is several years later.
