Description
Laguna is an amusement park based in a post climate change Brighton after sea level rise and global warming has turned the UK into a tropical paradise.
After an intense H2H8 Laguna has been some of the most fun I've had building in RCT in many years. The park is very much the park I want to release rather than what people probably want me to release but I've loved building it and I hope people enjoy finding all the little secrets as much as I've enjoyed making them. - 3 fans Fans of this park

Had been worried due to your long absence Roomie. NE isn't the same without you.
Having said that, this park was enjoyable, but almost like you'd sold your soul to the devil by being much more conventionalist.

ROOMIE!!! Holy shit dude!!! This is just....... Wow. You keep amazing us with these awesome custom rides. It's insane. I don't know if there was one bad idea in this park. One or two could have been executed a bit better, but I can look over that with all the cool ideas. I really don't want to tear into the park because I love the different attractions to much.
That being said..... I will anyways.
As far as the park itself goes, it really is just a mish mash of a bunch of different ideas with no real cohesion. The ideas are great but they just don't mesh well together, but that's more of a problem with the composition than anything else. A good portion of the architecture feels really blocky to me. There are some good spots though, just mostly far and few between. There is a lot of open space in the park as well. It's very noticeable near the drifting go-karts. I think some thicker foliage would have helped a lot. Not tall stuff, but just shorter stuff that thins out as you get away from the tree lines. A little bit more detail in general would have made it better. The area is a great example of this, it feels like it took the most time to make and also looks the best overall.
Here are some of those amazing hacks and some other things I noticed.
It Leans!!!
It Drifts!!!
Look at that back car!!!
It's a fuckin raptor!!!
Are you kidding me!!! It twists!!!
This is by far my favorite building in the park.
Followed by what is by far my favorite area of the park.
Even though the park fell short as far as an actual park, I think it is still a marvel to look at with all the custom rides and details. I would give this a low to mid silver because of these ideas. So you get a 65% from me. Great job and please, please, please keep building!

There's so much going on it's ridiculous. I kind of love the stray drone, but after a while the birds and paragliders and fighter jets and everything in the sky start to look noticeably... off, from the rest of the park, somehow. All of the clever uses of seat rotation tags are nice but it does start to feel a bit gimmicky after three or four rides. The entire section on the island including Smuggler's Run and Conquistador is easily my favorite of the whole park.

I have no words to describe, what can I say that everything was wonderful

wow, awesome stuff. so much neat shit, even if we'd seen some of the hacks already in h2h. You are incredible at coming up with new rides and filling niches I never realized needed filling...
I actually think the quality is pretty high for the majority of the map. Good archy, very lively, lots of details. The drifting go karts are amazing and that whole area is phenomenal. I also like the conquistador area, although the layout is perhaps a bit small and jerky. Sick idea for the raptor track, I'm sure that could be pulled off even better with a differently shaped car. Is there a reason you couldn't use banked turns?
Anyway, one of my favorite releases from you. Amazing that you're still getting use out of this game 20 years on!

To go on with the comparison I think what made this a bit less good for me, is the way the different elements of the park are working together. It feels more like a collection of awesome ideas than a cohesive park for me, which probably bumped my vote down a bit, although in some aspects this is probably one of the best releases weve seen this year so far for me.
All in all I love this park and I hope to see more from you again in the future! Good job!

I really enjoyed this park. It had some great hacks and the ride tracks are both very usefull and nice to see. The remote controlled boats with the mini firetower was so cute! I don't get the peeps around standing still. Why and how did you do that?
Raptor, moving dinosaurs and forklifts, segways, cut-away view for the darkride, this park has so many original things. That's great. I agree with the others that it needs a bit more cohesion though. But yeah still a great park.

Thanks for the many replies and comments guys.
This was very much a park which wasnt really planned. Cohesiveness has never been a strong point of mine and the way this developed as I got new ideas implemented meant it was expanded multiple times which didnt help.
I didnt actually do that I don't think. I think its due to the latest Open RCT version having that thing where people stop for trains as they pass on paths? But as several things like the Segways run over paths it makes things look a bit weird here. It wasnt like that when i started the park so not really sure.
Anyway the main thing i wanted this park to get across in the end was a feeling of fun and exploration and it seems it did just that which I am more than happy with
And hey i built a solo in RCT2. If someone had said I'd have done that pre H2H8 I'd have laughed in your face

Thanks everyone. Gold is more than I expected.
I am not entirely sure how to respond to this comment Posix I've always tried to build how I want to build and didn't change here. I have never set out to build in a set style and I guess things change over time. I dont feel i sold out here but i guess it could look that way to some people.

I have to admit, I was not sold on this park when I first opened it. But when time passed by exploring it, it grew on me. I think my main issue is with the archy being a bit blocky and sometimes bare. Sorry. Despite that, the park has a good atmosphere. The little details and selection of coasters raised the park up for me.
I appreciate you did a Powersplash, I like Pulsar very much and it was about time someone made it in RCT! I'm also glad to see other coaster types that we don't see much in rct: SBF Visa spinning coaster, RMC raptor and even a Mack E-Motion coaster (the one I did at Linnanmaki was pure shit )! It's very obvious the maker is a roller coaster enthusiast
