OLE's writeup
Sometimes it's pretty obvious how a match is going to turn out. That was the case when seasoned Parkmaker Ride6 took on the new and unknown player bug33558 who was an early replacement for a similiar player. Ride6 came in with Autumn Grove, a peepable micro amusement park with a coaster, a flat, go karts and all the shops necessary to keep the guests happy. The highly twisting woodie that takes up half the park has a great, almost CBCish layout amongst jagged rocks and colorful trees. The architecture is very simple yet effective as the earth tones really set off the autumny atmosphere. The park layout was very nice and brought back memories of peepable micros from Project Revolution I. It's not the most stunning park by any means but it gets the job done and was more than enough to propel Ride6 into the next round. As for bug, there's not much that can be said about his entry, Mt. Narthex. The ideas were there but the execution wasn't and the boxy buildings, jagged landscaping and lack of details are the classic trademarks of a new player. Hopefully he will continue to practice and improve his skills for next time but for now he was an easy knockout for Ride6 who got 3 straight votes to win.

the archy could have been a bit better (most walls are a bit boring) but its a very nice round 1 entry .
