This was my winning entry for the September 2005 Road Rally on RCT2.com
Rules/objectives for this month were:
-best themed park, -using the supplied workbench. -with a Floorless coaster, -and Splash boats ride, -all themed to Greece.
Hope you enjoy it!
All comments are welcome, especially if I can improve from it (for now I have to do the finals in november also, for which I had not planned any time )
Wow, i just got back from a lecture about Acropolis' and Greek cities. This looks really really nice. Love the splash boats drop going between the turns. Great work.
Awesome piece of work there Emergo. My favorit part was the two splash boat rides. The entrance wasn't quite as impressive but it was still pretty good. Most people make symmetrical entrances but I like that you didn't.
Thanks for your comments. (gladly surprised at so many positive ones)
@Posix: yes I know it's not your style. So many thanks you still commented. Your style is not mine either - in the way that up till now I never chose to try it that way, so it may be that I even can't (!), but I like it nonetheless a lot.
@Kumba: a good teaser, even without screens, Lol!. Cannot wait to see more about it.
@Michael: yes, I myself also thought that at least that one could not be denied
(dank voor de complimenten en felicitatie!)
@Coaster Ed: Thank you very much for these compliments. (don't know why, but the smileys dont seem to work at this moment, for I wanted to place the pink one with the hearts here, to express how flattered I feel).
@Rhynos: Thanks!
@Metropole: that's a coincidence!. Hope you did not mind that this one is just an impression and not a recreation of the real Acropolis remnants, for it really is not up to the exact dimensions and ritual/historical/placing things. But it is RCT after all, and space as well as objects were limited.
Thanks!.
@Xenon: also thanks!. And no, the entrance is not really a 'great entrance' in the way of RCT-amusements-parks, with ticket boots etc.. But as you can read in the Readme-file that goes with the download, this 'park' is more "a piece of Greece", with some rides for a special event (Road Rally?) than a real amusement park. (Although it is really peep-friendly, considering the small map and just a few rides).
