Description
The origin of the roller coaster can be traced back to the man-made ice slides found in 17th century St. Petersberg, also known as 'Russian Mountains'. In Paris, 1817, a roller coaster using track and wheeled cars was constructed. Another notable pioneering ride was the multifunctional freight train line 'Mauch Chunk gravity railroad'. So who gets the credit for inventing the roller coaster, the Russians, the French, or the Americans? The answer is 'none'! The Romans were only 1400 years earlier...

I'm just blown away by Forum Caeleste... This is just too good. The rides are crazy good, the details are on point, the archi and that block texture is just out of this world. Will post a full review later but this is probably one of my favorite parks ever. Good work on the other team with the 4 angles thing, good to see people questionning angles in their own way lol.

A Year in Winkelheim
The ideas in this park are really great. I love the idea of the season changing depending on the angle at which you view the park. I actually had a similar idea for a park I was working on but in the end decided against it. My favourite area/season if by far the winter area. All the winter lights in the town just create so much atmosphere, it just feels so cozy I absolutely love it. I also really love the snow packet objects. I actually did a very similar thing in an unreleased winter park I was working on but I think the way it is executed here is better. Overall I think this will be a park where I will come back to many times in the future for ideas.

This park is also really great. I am a sucker for anything roman so that is a big plus for me. I like the attention to detail like the lowered streets with the rock crossings, very typical for ancient Rome. I also like the uniqueness of the rollercoasters in the park. They do not really wow you and their layouts are not that special, but in this setting they just fit in so well and that makes them really good in my opinion! My favourite area by far is the water area with the log flume. The two custom ships look great and the way they are connected to let the queue pass in between them is quite smart and original. My only complaint is that this park lacks colour a bit, although I must admit that this also fits the theme well.
Great match-up overall, not sure what I will vote yet.

Forum Caeleste:
First of all: very clever to make a version without custom music.Concept was funny and even more important; extremely well-executed. The corner with the water rides sticks out in not particularly a good way. Other than that. Really, really good park.
Winkelheim:
This is such a clever park and the way you told the story through the details was very interesting. It'll take a while to digest this park properly. So different from what we've seen in h2h so far.

First impressions:
Forum - I LOVE the concept. Really cool idea and a ton of thought put into some of the details. The manual powered rides is such a beautiful touch that takes this from really good to truly exceptional. I'm struggling to find many flaws, might be one of my favorites so far.
Winkelvossheim - Very unique concept that is pretty interesting and rather complex to explore. Reminds me of games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, which I do like quite a bit. Find myself a little torn when it comes to the coaster, I'm not sure it adds a whole lot. Wish I could explore the individual scenes more fully.
As always, more thoughts when I have digested the parks a little more.

Having looked at Winkelheim for a while now, this matchup is WAY more difficult to decide on than I initially thought.

Please stop hating palettes. It's like hating a park for using 1k ruins to me.

Man I hate these palettes, gah.

Wow... Winkelheim is nice but it's way too small in my opinion to compete *rotates view* HOLY SHIT! THIS IS AMAZING!
You should take notes, Julow.

Well that's the biggest mindfuck I've ever seen in RCT

amazing park.

I'm having a hard time with this one. Both parks deserve to win, but for entirely different reasons.

Forum Caeleste is a nice park and well-executed. The roller coaster layouts were interesting, appropriate, and looked nice, but I thought the trains went through the turnarounds too fast. I love the side-friction being placed on the arches, and the horse-powered ferris wheel was superb. The water area I wasn't so hot about, and you guys made a slide but didn't peep it.
Not mentioned are the loads of details and scenes that were knocked out of the park (not literally, because they're in the park, but figuratively) that I can't be bothered to mention at 3:00 in the morning.
