Description
From a small city park in 1960s, government-run Feira do Flamengo grew into a full-on amusement park in the 1980s with several major expansions. Though an economic downturn in the 1990s almost saw the park shut its gates, a new owner brought new life. Thanks to smart investment with 2nd hand rides, the park is once again a popular destination for Rio citizens looking for fun.

Just a quick note for everyone; both of these parks use one or multiple custom rides. These custom rides don't always load correctly and you may see the trains/cars on these rides turn into a mess of land textures/scenery bumbling around the track. To correct this, you just need to restart OpenRCT2 and that should get you back with regular trains.
On to the parks!

I hope people can actually put in the time to appreciate some of the archy in Tubiao, its genuinely an incredible display of creativity in object usage and dedication to accuracy. Not sure we've ever seen anything like it before.

Two parks that seem built off of similar ideas being matched up together is always fun. My first impression is that this will be close. Both parks are making me smile and laugh a ton though. Great job! As always full review to come later.\
*Edit - I think having two similar parks go up against each other is great because with both parks doing such similar things, it can lead to specific comparisons, like ghost train vs ghost trains, or city surrounding comparisons.

Which is conceptually stronger, Brazil or China? Or umbrellas?

EURO COASTER!!!!
HG park looks like Grona Lund in the ghetto, and Icons a typical cheap chinese park. It's nuts how similar these parks are. I think HG had much more attention to rides, while Icons had more focus on surroundings. This is a tough choice.

China: good readme, great archy, great theming
Brasil: great custom rides, good archy, great details
This is going to be tough

First thoughts:
Icons:
- You guys nailed the "bootleg" Asian park vibe; right down to the lift speed.
- I didn't quite get the palette at first, but after I realized it was smoggy, it all made sense.
- The detail; seriously.
- Architecture was really strong.
- Maybe it's because I've been there, but a lot of the infrastructure and architecture reminded me more of Japan than China.
- The TPR references (Sorry, NEPR) were pretty great; the readme was comedy gold.
HG:
- It's so lively; I think this is where this park excels.
- All the unique custom rides were pretty cool to see, and definitely added to the atmosphere.
- City architecture was a little weak in places.
- I thought the rides themselves were pretty nice.
- Again; tons of detail brings this park to life.
More in-depth reviews to come; and I'm still a little on the fence but definitely leaning one way.

The commitment to the forum post trip report on Tubiao is adorable. Right in the nostalgia.
Starting to sense a theme with the color filters though, and I'm not sure I like it.

Both of these are really good, tough choice!

H2H8: Battle of the Custom Palettes

Both parks are so lively. I really love how bright and colorful they all are, yet are both firmly rooted in reality.
Some things that stand out to me about Feira de Flamingo are:
- Serpente de Fogo seems to have a ton of inspiration from Colossus and Grand National, which I love. Serves as a great centerpiece without being overwhelming, despite its size.
- The way Pepsi Katapul is shoestringed so that the steep segments on the hacked track correspond to the sections where the reverse LIM would kick in is super clever. Don't think I have ever seen something quite like this before.
- Quimera is a lovely rendition of the traveling Schwarzkopf looper.
- The midway in the middle of the park has a lovely atmosphere, with so much stuff going on in all directions and so many rides hanging out over the spacious paths. Excellent composition there.
Thoughts on Tubiao Action Park:
- This one has way more of a sense of humor than Flamingo but it's really interesting that both have similar scopes of the surrounding city and streets.
- The car crash scene was done WAY too well for RCT. Seriously, it's ridiculous.
- Perfectly ridiculous ride names.
- The de-railed mine train is hilarious.
- The SLC is a wonderful example of fantastic coaster design, and I think that elevates the park from just having a bunch of great gags to being a genuinely great piece of RCT.
- Midway is a little less well-composed than Flamingo (intentionally I think) but the entrance is really lovely to me.
- The little trucks on the road were all at a weird angle and constantly clipping with everything... not sure if that is just the version of OpenRCT I am using or just unintended behavior that could not be corrected.
- I actually genuinely love Jet Star Super 3000 for reasons I myself cannot adequately explain.
Have not decided what my vote will be yet, but excited that we have yet another fantastic match-up.

A really good park is gonna lose here.

Please re-download Feira do Flamengo. Something went wrong during the prepping process and there is some features missing from the savegame that was up before.
FredD Offline
I won't. For the reason that we had a faulty version of Motherland send trough with a missing prop because you wanted a smaller file. Afterwards we asked to change it with the version with the missing prop back in it's place, but it was just ignored. How can it be that that wasn't possible/allowed but this is?!
Liampie Offline
You submitted the wrong file. We didn't. The mistake was made during the prepping, not during submission.
edit: We (myself at least) did not ignore you, we simply picked the wrong file from the 3-4 that were floating around.
FredD Offline
There wouldn't be a wrong file submitted if you didn't ask for a smaller file. I can say the same for HG now, that you guys submitted wrongly and that mistake is being handles after submission, even after the match-up is online.
Tell us what the missing prop is. Because you could argue that the missing prop in Motherland wouldn't make such a difference, I agree on that. But does it make so much difference on Feira do Flamengo?
Liampie Offline
You're twisting my words into something that I didn't say, I'm not going to argue with you like that.
