Description
by The Handymen
our entry to round 10 of deurklinks multiplayer server
---
We started out brainstorming a ton of ideas. A reoccuring setting was a fantasy landscape with flying islands and waterfalls. We combined this with other ideas and decided to make it an Elven village located on such an area, even though it would be very challenging.
After we agreed on a theme, we started off by creating the landscape. First we made the cliffs and the walls around the area, to ‘detach’ it from the paths around it, so it would look higher up. Then we created the first island, which is still connected to the ground, and a path to help guide us with building the other islands.
Meanwhile there was work being done to integrate buildings into the cliffs. A waterfall was made, and a bit later we decided to have the Elves being partly dwarves (they do need minerals after all!) and built a mine.
Lily worked on the trees to fill out the ground, Sko on a lot of the little houses in the town, Broxzier doing some great work on the floating island, Birb having done a lot of landscaping, and Jochem working on the coaster. Our difficult plan worked in the end. - No fans of this park

Cool project.. just curious why you guys have a path border?
The cotton candy stall usage was very unique and I think worked quite well here.
The mineshaft was the best archy I thought. Kudos to who built that.
Not a fan of "Cliffside Elf Hangout lol"

someones seen panoptica peaks!
cool park- I especially liked the area near the mine train ride and the mine shaft in general. the buildings on the cliff were pretty cool.
what else happened in this contest/how did it work?

Next time you guys should cut out themap without that hideous path square.

For this special round in Deurklink's server, there were 4 teams, rather than 16 individual plots. Each team consisted of 5 players, and had a 40x40 square (plot) to execute a park in. Each team had different ideas, and the default pathing involved the hideous path square and "tree foilage" that you see in the picture. The trees wrap the perimeter of the entire map, while the path squares divide up the plots of land. I can clarify more if needed, Cocoa.

This was definitely one of my favorite things on the map. I like Liam's idea of calling this junior h2h, because in some places this really has a h2h feeling to it. As told on RC&F i really appreciate some of the cool details to explore overhere, good work! Some places look a bit unrefnied but i think this definitely should be a bronze! Hope this doesn't get too overlooked because of h2h. 55%
