What a great park this is! I really like the center, with the huge tree and those buildings are very nice. Some other rides too: the rapids looked great and Shambala itself has a great lay-out ofcourse. I think there's a big contrast between very detailed and a bit less detailed buildings. Looks a bit like two different styles were built in one park

This certainly is bigger than I expected. And you actually hit the object limit too. Very impressive. I need some time to process this :p

    Awesome work theflowdiskord.

That was probably the most awaited release for me, since Port Aventura is my favorite and ex-home park.

I think you really nailed the Shambhala and Dragon Khan duo. They are majestic, the layouts are great and the whole China area felt very real for me.

For the other areas I may admit that I felt a bit lost, except for Sesamo street that was very clean and Tami Tami which was amazing, you really nailed the vibe here.

For the Far West and Polynesia areas, too bad they're too cramped, they should have deserved more place, like you did with China. For example, Tutuki Splash in real life has a very immersive queue with a very dense vegetation around it, and here it's very close to the train station.

I know it's not a recreation and you hit the object limit, but these parts were very close to the map edge and there wasn't enough place to breathe.

Also not a fan of the rockwork of the Grand Canyon Rapids and Tutuki Splash.

I will also add that there was too much music everywhere, was a bit annoying.

Overall, I really liked this, was really fun to see, 70%.

You've made a part that I feel is almost impossible to give an accurate score to.  In some aspects in incredible work and spotlight quality, however in other places it is borderline silver for me.  Not to mention the odd park layout and weirdness of it all...

All I can say is that this is very well made and also very unusual.

    It's a shame(bhala) that this park contains WW objects. :( I can't open it.

  • Liampie%s's Photo

I don't have WW and I was able to open it... Are you using OpenRCT? That may cause a difference.

  • theflowdiskord%s's Photo

don't remember any ww objects, maybe the elephants!

  • nicman%s's Photo

There is 1 WW/TT object. Its a wacky worlds wall object. I made a converted version that I replaced in the save using parkdat.

wow, there is a ridiculously large amount of content on this map, and figuring out how it all fits together is a bit difficult. the decision to recreate half of a park and cutting off areas somewhat randomly leaves me very confused as a park viewer, although I understand why you ended up in this position.

that said, there is a lot of really high quality work. some great atmospheres, nice archy, detailing, etc. you really excel at fun, themed rides in an almost over-the-top sort of way, with lots of colors and at larger scales than I would usually work in. I don't know port aventura at all so I can't really comment on the realism of your recreation but it more or less feels real. there's a lot of wide open paths and bare spots but maybe that's just how it is in real life. I'm gonna have to think a bit about how to vote on this, because as a park it doesn't make the most sense but all of its individual elements are really well pulled off and I enjoyed exploring it all.

Third gold in a row!!!! Nice work man!

Personally my favorite part of this park was Sesamo Street, perhaps one of the greatest kids areas ever built on NE, it was punchy, bright, very fun! Good work! I honestly enjoyed looking at everything on the map, you definitely bring your own style and flare to rct, and I'm anticipating what you build next.

Since the final score was bang on what I voted, obviously I agree with the score. That being said, you had spotlight, gold and silver quality areas in this park. It's a shame you hit the limit because there are areas that could have used some more detail and refining, but I also saw a lot of areas that you could have saved object slots due to wasting objects to give more attention to them. Perhaps try to be more frugal on your next project to stretch out the object slots better.

Overall, great stuff, well deserved gold. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see you hit the 80% or higher mark next time, or achieve a spotlight park.

Sorry for the delayed review, I was waiting for a full scale aerial as that makes it much easier to write. Anyway, I loved this. It's unique in a lot of ways which is really a given with your work and it was a lot of fun to view.

First off, I love the scale. It's great to see someone who's not afraid of building large coasters on New Element, it's honestly a breath of fresh air. You're definitely starting to conform more to the NE style (which is sort of good and sort of bad) but I'm glad you haven't budged on that.

The coasters themselves were probably the weakest part of this park. They weren't awful, but both layouts came off as a bit strange. Shambhala had it's moments, but the prolonged diagonal and 90 degree turn after the drop were definitely a bit off.

Dragon Khan probably tried too hard to be in the correct position in regards to Shambhala and that made for some awkward moments also. The section between the lift and second inversion is very elongated so you can get the positioning right, but then everything after that is highly compact and (honestly) much better.

Neither layout was necessarily bad but they had some awkward moments.

The good news is that aside from that I really don't have any complaints at all. While some textures were a little monotonous (mainly the path by the Dragon Khan entrance) for the most part everything was very aesthetically pleasing.

Your architecture has taken a huge jump up in quality. Buildings like the Dragon Khan station and queue and the blue and white building near the gardens were real standouts for me. Even buildings with monotonous textures that I feel like I shouldn't like (like the flume building) look great for some reason. You really have a knack for making things look nice.

The secondary rides were a strong point also. Rides like the flume, junior coaster and round water ride with the tugboat station (sorry, I forgot it's name) were all excellent.

Overall this was really nice, while it can definitely use a little polishing you're well on your way to a spotlight. Keep up the great work!

  • Description

    Hey Peeps,

Here is my first recreation of a real park for this website. Its based on Shambhala in Portaventura, Spain. Europe's highest rollercoaster!

What started of as a single design has expanded into most of the park including; China, Sesamo Street, Polynesia and half of the Far West (didn't really have the data for a full park). I have changed a few things and left a couple of things out, but I have tried to fit in the most fun rides of the park.

    Areas include;

China - The PortAventura China area will take you on a journey through time to ancient colonial China. The area is made up of the Mongolia and the Imperial areas. Rides include Shambhala, Dragon Khan, Imperial Teatro, Cobra Imperial, Imperial Golf, Tea Cups, Kiddie Dragons, Ballon Race, Waitan Port and Angkor.

Polynesia - Discover PortAventura World's Polynesia, the themed area that will transport you to the real tropical jungle. Rides include Sea Odyssey, Canoes, Kontiki and Tutuki Splash.

Sesemo Street - Come and discover SésamoAventura, the PortAventura World area designed especially for children, and meet its fascinating inhabitants: Bert, Ernie and the rest of the Sesame Street gang are waiting for you! In this amazing place everything is inspired by the world of Sesame Street. Rides Include Tami Tami, La Granja del Elmo, Coco Piloto, Mariposas Saltarinas, Magic Fish, El Salto de Blas and SésamoAventura Station

Far West - Welcome to Penitence, cowboy! It's always the 4th of July in this Wild West town of PortAventura World, a true American-style holiday. Rides include Buffalo Rodeo, Silver Mine Flume, Grand Canyon Rapids and Crazy Barrels.
