New at Kings Island for 1987!
Vortex is a steel roller coaster at Kings Island located in Mason, Ohio. Designed and built by Arrow Dynamics at a cost of $4 million, the ride officially opened to the public on April 11, 1987. Vortex debuted as the tallest, full-circuit roller coaster with the highest drop in the world. It was also the first to feature six inversions. - 4 fans Fans of this park

Hey, I love Vortex! It's not a bad coaster, it just happens to be in a park where all the other coasters are even better....
Nice park! You seem to have an unending stream of enthusiasm for this game, which sadly is not something I can say for myself..

Brilliant. I really really enjoyed this, maybe it's because I've developed more of an appreciation for recreations and the like because I do accept this is flawed. But, as a piece of RCT, recreating an underused ride-type, and doing so this effectively deserves a lot more credit than this has been given.
The only thing missing from your game is managing to incorporate some of the imperfections and game-considerations of the very high level realism people. That combining crazy paving and the cena path is not commonplace in all parks continues to amaze me, and would have instantly helped your midway path. As realistic as mass expanses of empty path might be there's a point at which I don't want to look at it - which becomes especially problematic in a smaller park/design context, and is particularly obvious when you use all of the same path texture in large expanses [although imo this is more of a problem with the crazy paving/brick/overly textured paths than eg tarmac].
The area around the batwing and first turnaround were perfect. Not only were planters used incredibly effectively but the pathing wasn't so obviously untextured or overly expansive. I loved all the great realistic path details and the like, with the basketball game, jukebox diner, and fairy floss + coke stand really taking the cake.
So close to perfection, brilliant work. 80%

Still baffled how this didn't get 80% average at least, or at least get better than Wildfire. Does NE now have a distaste for recreational-ism? Or clean realism in general? If he did the entirety of Kings Island of this quality, would be easy spotlight.

RIP indeed, you will only be missed by people look at photos and walking around the park going to other rides, because no one would ever want to ride you again anyways.
