Description
--- OpenRCT2 Only ---
Welcome to Riverland, a small family park in the fictional town of Walheim, Germany.
The park is inspired by my (Fisch) home park in suburban Germany. The plan never was to build something with a big centerpiece, or even something that was incredibly nice to look at, but something relatable just on the outskirts of town, where families with kids would go for birthday parties and where all of them would have a good time!
This map was started and almost finished in the first months of 2016 when we first tried out OpenRCT2's brilliant multiplayer. It is arguably the first major NE multiplayer map ever started (obviously not the first one finished though). Sadly, due to the contest that took place in 2016, we never got around to finishing it completely back then.
Now that the basic map is in place, I am planning to release new bigger versions of the park, as it grows in future seasons. The story of the park will be told in a timeline narration, so stay tuned. Perhaps a centerpiece or two and some actual scenery are just around the corner. (perhaps not though, you never know...) ;)
Have fun viewing the park and most of all the full map!
Everything is as German (Western Germany - not cliché Bavaria(that's like the USA always being depicted as Texas)) as possible for us, we tried our hardest to create a realistic setting for the park and the whole map.
Please take time, to find all the tiny details, from actually correct road signs, and speed traps, to strawberry sales, and traditional German past time activities.
ps: The football(soccer) players will be tired quickly after their exhaustive game. Make sure to regenerate their happiness and energy with OpenRCT2's cheat tools in this case! Please excuse this little issue. :) - 17 fans Fans of this park

Still loving this!

I don't care what anyone says, this is a Spotlight contender for me. Sure, the park isn't PERFECT but I haven't had this much fun exploring a map since, probably, never. The details are endless and everything was executed wonderfully.
I can't wait to see what the next releases have in store. Please keep them going!

This is in the same vein as Tim's waterpark for how much I can enjoy something so small and quaint yet something that's more fleshed out and alive than half the current realistic spotlight contenders being made at the moment. Although I havent downloaded this park yet and therefore unable to really tell you what I think about this park, I pretty much know that I'll love it the second I open the sv6. Great city planning and focus on the urban areas by Liam (based off the screenshot, sorry to not give credit).
As long as you dont do a blap and try to plop a b&m into the park, I'm interested to see the timeline progression.

10/10.

I feel like this is the first true NE server park. It may not have been on an official server of NE's but I think you get the gist...

I'd say this beauty deserves a Spotlight.

I feel I don't have to downoad this anymore after I've seen all of it in the server! I'll just do it anyway...

Wow. This was amazing. Even though the surroundings were the highlight for me, the actual park was amazing also. There were just so many great ideas and details everywhere.

I think the comparison to inthemanual's Splashdown water park very much applies, the detail in the surroundings are comparable. I think Riverland takes the crown though... There are so many mind blowing details. That said, I think the park with the surrounding foliage is the weakest link on the map right now, lacking the grittiness of the surroundings. That's the main reason why I don't think this map is a spotlight. The other reason is that the park itself is only very tiny and will be expanded in the future. Personally I wouldn't have submitted this as competitive for that same reason. But whatever.
I say the park itself is in the 70-75 range, and the surroundings in the 90-05 range.

Those are some of the best outskirts in the game. Actually debating on whether this should be spotlight.

I kind of agree with Liam that I don't think this version should have been submitted as competitive. As it is, I don't think it's a spotlight. The quality of work is definitely spotlight, but there's not enough park as of yet to hit it for me. I love the details around the outskirts and the town and stuff, it's amazing, but I play the game primarily to look at rollercoasters and theme parks, so I think holding off until future expansion years would have been the better option.
Still, this is something that everyone involved, no matter the scale, can be very proud of. Fisch, you've got something good here and I'm excited to see what happens next with it.

Wow, most i've enjoyed watching a park in-game for a while. Too bad it's such a small park otherwise it would've been an easy spotlight imo.
Love the dense foilage around the park and the surroundings are on an other level, so much creativity. The park itself was good as well and has a lot of potential.

I agree with Liam, not at all a fan of players double dipping on accolades with one map. Much rather you submit the initially as non-competitive and then the final version as a competitive map, much like some of the timeline parks have been in the past.
Obviously with the scenario you're in, you probably don't know exactly what will be made in the future and how sure you are that there will be a bigger release down the line, so for this I can understand.
As for the map, surroundings are like a 90% for me, all great stuff, and very impressive and fun. The park is like a 60%, not really much of interested, or content, but some great bits like the wild west train and playgrounds. Definitely feel the value to be added in the map is with the park, as I'm sure all would agree.
Interested to see what you can do down the line with this, hope that it matches the quality of the surroundings!

Thanks so much for letting me build on this, it's an outstanding map and it probably has the best (and most lively) surroundings of any park ever.
As for the park, it's adorable though as of now there's not much to it. This is really more about the map as a whole than the park. It's absolutely mesmerizing.

Oh thanks for adding me fisch. You didn't have to I was just wondering if anything I had contributed was still in the final product.
