The entrance, flume, and small area near the top of the hill were all nice.  Really like the overall setting and feeling of the park, very believable and cool.  I can't remember the last time we saw a park quite like this with the surrounding so dominate over the park itself.

Still feel all your stuff is super same-ish though, but considering what you said its not really a bad thing.  But I'd definitely like to see you experiment more with new objects and forms in the future, having a cohesive style is always nice, but at some point seeing the same things over and over again gets a little boring.

Probably a high bronze for me, but I'll give it a 60 as a 55 is to low, nice work.

    Thanks guys!

I'm trying to get out of my usual style with the park I'm working on with Thirteen, but it's not easy with some stuff still having my distinct signature... However, it's not finished yet, and I believe I'm doing something different with different themes. But if you have tips how to break style even more, I'll be glad to hear it! :)

very pleasant, classic european park. some nice architecture (especially around the water coaster). I also really liked the woodie layout, it just seemed like something that would be exciting in real life. The park had a bunch of weird dead ends but I get the sort of 'grown from a little park' idea. So overall, nothing groundbreaking or never-before-seen but some just a nice park with a few good features.

Amazing work Jappy. The surroundings are really convincing for me. Will check this out in more detail in game when I have my RCT laptop hooked up, but from the overview and G Force's review it feels like the many holidays in de Ardennes I took where it was always raining.

Also cool review G Force, the comment starting at 10.20 really hit home for me, I feel you Jappy.

G Force's review is pretty much bang on. The row of buildings by the water coaster are definitely a step in the right direction though. I'll try to get around to seeing this in-game as soon as I can, great to see you releasing stuff though.

It'll be interesting what you and thirteen pull off in your duo because that certainly looks like a completely different style that you're adopting.

Thanks for the replies guys. Also G Force, thank you for the review, didn't expect this park to get one, so that's a nice surprise!

I'm still kinda just messing around with benches and objects, trying to create my own style, and then not to get stuck in it. Realism/semi-realism is what I like doing the most, but I feel is too easy to keep doing the same thing in, which I want to stop doing. I'm glad to be able to do build a different sort of park with Thirteen, but I need to do something completely different. That's why my next project after Thirteen won't be the one with the Anton Pieck-ripoff, but will be fantasy for a change. Just to try different forms of architecture and techniques.

This park feels like a scenario to me. Good stuff.

  • Description

A park pleasantly situated near a waterfall, and right next to the Meuse river in the Ardennes. Many parks served for the inspiration: Plopsa Coo, Plopsaland de Panne, Walibi Rhône-Alpes, Knoebels, Lake Compounce.... It's supposed to be one of those small parks you can find scattered across Europe, like Mer du Sable, the two French Walibi parks, Fort Fun Abenteuerland...

Do have to say, most of the criticsm I got on Vossendal will not have been rectified in this park, it was too finished to fix them, and I would've had to rebuilt the entire park... I hope you good people can overlook these problems. Most of these are caused by the fact that this was built as a timeline park for my own enjoyment. All the mountains and woods were made in the scenario editor using that handy little tree tool, the park itself was made later. Working with those limits made it harder and a lot of fun. This park also includes a couple of firsts for me: more intense ride-hacking, trackitecture and merging. Have fun!
