Description
This is the start of my interpretation of DCA, with mainly Buena Vista Street and Grizzly Peak completed. I'm not signing off on this park forever, and will probably return to it once BGA is finished and I've had a bit of a break from hyper-detailed realism and can have the focus for this. Regardless, hope you all enjoy this preliminary release and have fun exploring what's there!

how to make sure your park gets approved ASAP:
1- be robbie
2- submit a park named "Disney's California Adventure"

Honestly, it sat for 3 weeks, due to h2h and the awards

Who hacked the Grizzly mine train coaster Rob? You?
Sad to see you not finishing this, well for quite a while.

Gee and I worked on hacking the train together.
As far as finishing this goes, I'll probably go back to this post-H2H, provided there isn't too much burn-out from the season.

Yea I'm intriqued to how you got the launch in there becuase I see no chain lift or anything to really make it work... Yet if you've done all this hacking why run only one train?

Rob or Gee could probably explain better, but on stream I remember Rob talking about how the original track used is the freefall launch track, making every straight, flat piece a launched piece. Also, it was too much work to get more trains - although a dummy station would probably work fine...

Well, it's not a ton of hacking. Basically, the ride is set to the same operation mode as a reverse freefall station with the station merged in. This makes any non-braked, non-diagonal flat straight piece a launch piece, and why all of those pieces on my coaster have brakes on them. The actual launch is the only flat straight track left unbraked, so the game sees it as track for acceleration. As far as the one train goes, that was just the default, and I'd probably figure out a way to add more for final release.

That's definitely interesting I never really thought of anything like that before. I was wondering why all the brake run's everywhere as well as the unconventional station track. Interesting.

what areas are you planning on adding? are you just gonna do it like DCA IRL or will you take small elements from disney parks around the world?

WITH the splashboats!

Hopefully with OpenRCT2, park maps can be expanded in different directions from the game default. Once we can manage that, I should be able to make a better park out of this.
