^See, I think that's sort of a problem. Just because the minimum number of panel votes is 10 doesn't mean that there should only be 10 votes. I think the panelist voting should remain open for a day or so after the quota is reached. That way panelists don't miss out if they are busy one day and can't get time to vote.

There is a fixed number of votes to ensure fair regularity. Because the vote is an average of all the votes, but keeping the votes at a fixed number it means that every park is, in theory, relative to another.
However, the addition of a few more votes wouldn't change the result a hell of a lot. I mean, if you add a 70% and a 65% vote to this park, you end up with around a 47%. So, was there any real point of keeping it open to allow a few more votes just to gain an extra 1%?
The fixed number is lower than what it used to be, that is because out of 50ish voters, getting 15 together to vote on most things was a difficult task, especially for LL. So the vote was lowered. Now a few people do miss out every now and then, but it's better than not getting enough in the first place.
Basically, the fixed number is to ensure regularity, and even if the voting was open to a few more people, the result wouldn't change all that much.

I didn't mean to say that every park under 50 was bad, but it just looks bad when they have that dissapointing grey accolade on their page. This park is definitely not bad, that's my problem. There's loads of parks submitted for an accolade that aren't good at all and got below, and it's just that this is now in the same class (at least, it looks like it). That bothers me.

to be fair wouter i got 46.25%, that's still pretty good i think. stuff that gets higher than 45% certainly isn't bad. and i just have to put more effort in next time to make an even better park, where i hopefully will be succesfull

As promised GDB I got a chance to look over your park last night in-game.
I want to start out by saying that I really liked the park overall. I agree with the panel that it wasn't quite accolade worthy, but it was still fun. I also feel like there were plenty of areas in this park that were accolade quality but that same quality wasn't carried throughout. I thought this would get an accolade based on the screenshots but the quality of the work in your screenshots was much better than a lot of the rest of the park.
Some of the buildings were quite nice, the ones by the entrance (minus the haunted mansion and the purple sign) were my favorites, the building near the top spin and the one by the picnic area were nice too.
None of the layouts blew me away but none of them were necessarily bad either.
I liked the wood coaster (though I don't understand why it would run 3 trains with no MCBR blocks since it was always stacking. I know it's possible because the lift is a block but that wasn't believable to me.
The mine train was pretty good. It looked really nice from one angle but looked awkward from the others (I felt the same way about the kids coaster).
I think the things I'd improve upon for next time are the patrol areas (the disk-o is never going to get fixed... by the way is it's name really just "zamperla". I'm going from memory here but I remember being surprised by that), the puke and vandalism and paying attention to minor details. For example, the enterprise rides away from the path, no enterprise would ever do this.
I think the biggest thing that held you back though was that the park felt rushed in places. I know you're really anxious for an accolade and I think that led to you hurrying to get the park released and not taking the time to add small details. For example, that shuttle loop really doesn't fit the area it's in. The front spike over the log flume just looks sloppy.
Overall this was a nice park, and you did a lot of nice things here. If you spent as much time on the other buildings as you did on the steak house you would have won an accolade for sure. This park proves that you're talented, now you just need some patience.
