I did give it a rating, but I'm not on the panel so it really doesn't mean too much
Well, it does, because now it's in the community's hands as to whether or not something goes to the panel. If the entire community doesn't like a park, the panel never has to bother with it. If the community likes it, the panel sees it. But if nobody votes, the panel still won't get to see it, regardless of how good or bad it may be. Voting helps.
Arjan, I know what you mean. There are some hacks that I'm just not capable of on my machine, so I can't do them. I'm sure you have some of the same problems. Don't get me wrong; I really like this park. I was just wondering why you chose to do that. Now I know.

It'll be more practical and better thought of next time.
Just had a look at the overview. Very good work. I think you need to guide the viewer's eyes more towards the parks features. They're kind too loosely assembled altogether and look a bit like they were just thrown onto the map and connected by a pretty dense grid of path.
I would consider going for an easier-to-comprehend layout with big main paths from which branches lead to individual features.

Like i mentioned before, i'm now done with free style building.
More and more thought and refinement is going to be added in my future releases.
Every park or design is a perfect learning proces for me.

Congrats on the gold!
I really loved this park because it had such amazing architecture and coaster design. One thing I didn't like as much was that blue seemed to be an overused color. However, I really liked X-treme's interaction with the front gate.
Overall, the park was incredible and definitely deserving of the gold.
