This shows quite a bit of promise in my opinion. Most of your colours were well chosen, and I liked the invert's layout. You also integrated it nicely with the rapids. You tended to build on a larger, more macro, scale, due to the prominent role you gave the water. I found that refreshing. You definitely have a landscaping talent.
I would say a future park from you could use some more breathing room around its map edges. It felt very tight from the entrance one which had way too little space. Whilst I like your emphasis on big landscape features such as the waterfall, I feel more emphasis on rides and shops, the park features so to speak, would benefit your work. I would make it clearer where ride entrances are, give them more prominent spaces. I would also like to see more flatrides perhaps.
Thanks for the feedback, posix! That was a lot more positive than I was expecting for my first submission here, haha.
Things did start getting a little crammed toward the end. The stratacoaster took up a lot of space, as did the invert (the first two big rides built) and by the time they were done, there wasn't a lot of room left for paths around the rest of the park. That, coupled with the challenging landscape I gave myself, didn't leave a lot of room for flat rides and shops. I even ended up resorting to building one above the path. That's definitely something I've learned for future parks.
I want to start working on an actual design or park intended for this site soon. Is there anything in particular that you'd like to see more of from me? That will give me a good starting point to generate some ideas.
Given the recent discussion on what should and shouldn't be submitted to the site, it's interesting that something like this is released soon after. A genuinely put together, finished project done at a low skill level. It's usually pretty rare these days as people will advertise until they mimic or practice their way to near accolade level, not finishing anything in the process.
It's cool to see and I hope you, Majordomo, continue on with more projects. You ask what we'd like to see? Just keep playing, and try to finish as much as possible. Look at what happened with this project, you built something and made some mistakes and learned from the process. The act of putting things together will hone your instincts and help build your skills over time.
Don't be afraid of backing yourself into a corner because creatively figuring out solutions to unforeseen problems is what adds character to your work.
Generally speaking, it's a skill in itself to generate ideas and be so convinced by them that they'll carry you through a difficult project.
I agree. I'm was just curious to see if you had any little quips that might get the gears turning. And I think you might have. I'll have to test some things.

It's funny you say that. I submitted this for review maybe an hour before that thread was opened. But I'm pleased with the work I was able to accomplish in a month, even if it's not perfect.

Not afraid of it at all. You should have seen the park that I first tried to use 8-cars on. That was a mess :/ but it gave me a racing water coaster, and that was fun.
Keep making stuff, and people will either like it, or they won't.
Hey, I know you! But yeah, I'm not too worried about whether or not anyone will like something. I just asked because it may or may not help with the brainstorming process.
In reference to the submissions discussion, this park is a good example of someone putting in good effort, regardless of what others deem "skillful" or not. We're happy to receive such submissions.

I personally think a landscaping-heavy theme will suit you. Out-in-the-wild, jungle, tropical, white water, adventure, exploration, etc.
