Banana Republic by CoasterWizard
Korsareian Valley by JDP
We got two brand spanking new runner-ups for you guys in LL and RCT2, so something for everyone. This round is highlighted by CoasterWizard's long awaited solo, Banana Republic, and up and coming RCT2 parkmaker JDP's park, Korsareian Valley. A pretty good showing by both parkmakers, but Banana Republic is the star here giving us flashbacks to the grand old days of NE when you seemed to get a great LL park every week. Congrats to you both on your first solo Runner-Up wins, I hope to see some of your future parks landing a little higher then Runner-Up.

Good parks you two. I'm still looking through Banana Republic, but JDP's park could have had a little better foliage. The rest was nice.

Anyway, congrats to both. Banana Republic is (thank god) die-hard LL. Which I'm sure nearly everyone here will worship. It looks fricken awesome.
And for, uhh... *scrolls down to look at name*... Korsareian Valley (wtf?), I just wanna say congrats to JDP on this, it's been in progress for a while. I saw it in the advertising district, and I fell in love with it. Glad to see it make the main page .

Thanks to Gymkid for help on the hacks. I also want to mention that I've only ridden on like 3 wooden coasters my whole life. I know my coasters suck

The good news is that will change in a month or two

Yeah i know the name is kinda weird. But thanks for the support zodiac, hope you enjoy it.
Thanks Kumba and Corkscrewed for the oppertunity and I hope everyone can enjoy my park. I am more of a realistic park maker and went out on a limb for this park and it worked itself out . I hope its not the last that you hear from me. Thanks again Kumba and Corkscrew and to everyone who supported me when creating the park.

I haven't had time to look at JDP's park but I remember Banana Republic from forever ago and I always liked the way you made the bananas in the trees....I'm sure its a great feeling to have the park done and highlighted here.

CoasterWizard: I'm not sure if I was a member here when you started your park...humm...no...I wasn't. It seems that you catched everybody's interest with this park, from its first advertisement until its release, which were moments separated by a long period of time. Even it took you long, you could finally finish it and you got a NE accolade so congrats on achieving that. Hope to see some more of your work soon.
JDP: I liked the park. I just love the fact that you don't need of a huge amount of scenery for making things look good, or for making some decent buildings at least. I think that you could have worked a little bit more with 1/4 blocks, but I guess that that's not necessary anymore, although that's one of my suggestions for your next park. The coasters were ok, I'm not a fan of the layouts, but I must say you make a good job at merging...I liked that B&M Large loop you made for the Arrow Looper. The supporting was another aspect I think you could have worked a little bit more, I mean, it's not that there was missing something...actually, I think that there was too many supports on some coasters, which looked bulky. The foliage was ok, in trees selection terms...if it had been denser/more dense (sorry, don't remember which is the correct form) I think that it'd have looked better.
Anyway, overall you made a nice job. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and I like the fact that you finished this park kinda quickly, yet you got good results. Congrats on completing another solo and on getting RU.
Again, congrats for both of you, and hope to see some more of your stuff soon.

About damn time! We haven't had an LL park with class like that here since Mort (Ablaze) kicked out those two "almost spotlights" of his. <3
The atmosphere in the Banana Republic is simply stunning. The theming, architecture, landscaping, and supporting rides were all set up so exceptionally well it's almost easy to ignore how bad the coasters are (with the exception of the mine train, which as a novelty coaster or adventure ride works very well). My suggestion for another park (assuming you do one) would either be to have the coasters be "guest spots" or to get some tutoring/testing/advice from someone who knows their way around a track layout. Either way a park like this with excellent cutting-edge coasters would win spotlight, there's no two ways about it (well, from my perspective anyway).
Congrats.
I haven't bothered to look at Korsareian Valley as I can tell from the screens that I would be in the "how the hell did this win?" group. None the less I'm glad to see some productive blood around here.

The architecture was boring for the most part, but it got the job done in the sense that it worked well as filler, but no buidlings in particular stood out. The foliage was pretty bare...not bad, just bare. I thought the landscaping was waaaaay above average compared to some other aspects of the park. I have to admit I actually spent a good twenty minutes taking a look around this park mostly because the landscaping was really interesting to looks at. Less jagged edges would have been nice though. The coasters were what really gave the park the RU. I wasn't amazed by any of them, but I really thought that creativity-wise, they were brilliant; the arrow the the large loops is an example. I also really liked the shuttle loop with the stone structures holding it up. Nice stuff. The best part of the park for me was Dragkon or whatever it was called (the one that tunneled in and out of the cliffs). The colors, the layout, the landscaping, that massive bridge nearby, and the river boats in the water below really created something I could picture in a Spotlight park, so you're deffinitely on the right track.
By the way...if I remember right, you named the arrow coaster "Worrior," instead of "Warrior." You may want to fix that.

the swamp logs thing seemed a little awkward, being a narrow map-edge thing that had no exciting ride elements and a lot of repeated scenery- but the mine train? oh, that was glorious. loved the little fake tracks everywhere, and the waterfall , while it could've been done better, worked nicely. the streets as an area was gorgousely well themed, but it was lacking in ride content. the swamp ride and the gangster cars combined made for maybe too much room taken up by attractions whose attraction was questionable. I'd say the streets should be more of a choose-your-own adventure or a shoestring-type thing, but then you'd have sprawling adventure coaster overkill instead of sprawling adventure ride overkill. the pirate area was decent, but could've been larger with a better coaster/more rides... there's no shortage of pirate areas for inspiration here. the mine shafts were well-pulled off, as were the bannanas.. excellent little touches that nearly make up for some of the downfalls. archy is overall very, very good- not terribly repetetive, (except maybe the streets area) not overly 2x2, and forms and colors work well, unlike some of the bizarre structures i've seen in LL. I liked the lighhouse island thing particularly.
basically, if one were to take out the woodie and replace it with pirates of the caribbean, we'd have something resembling a disney park. lots of neat little atmospheric touches, multiple adventure / boat / family rides, maybe a coaster or thrill ride tossed in.
