Gotta love when people excuse their shit by saying "I was just messing around and I'm not sure if I even like it" but decide to post it anyway. No, you like it. A lot. Or you wouldn't have shown it. Your track record says that you don't take the time to post screens of random bullshit.
Agreed, Louis. The go kart really isn't working here. Same with the foliage selection, it's just throwing me off a bit. But generally, the colours and atmosphere are really, really nice. One of your greatest strengths as a parkmaker I think.
Foliage: a mess. Cacti, willows, birches, palms, pretty much every type (and colour) but pine? Architecture: I really like it. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid. Bar the go kart. Landscaping: not flowing enough Colours: great, except for the canvas roofs Atmosphere: love it!
Overall, I really like this. If you feel like another experiment, tell me. I'll send you this. This has two purposes: you get to see your experiment refined, expanded, and released. I get my park finished.
I'm still working on it every now and then, but any help is appreciated. If you're willing to build oldschool, no codex wanking. Sorry for hijacking your topic Cocoa.
Wait wait wait, Giari was supposed to be an oldschool project, so it has to be finished by oldschool people, no? Include me in the convo pls
Cocoa, I agree the atmosphere is nice, as in all of your works, but the experimentation Louis mentioned is exactly what throws me off. What I see feels like it's all over the place and so I can't recognise anything in it. Leads to confusion and dislike.
the foliage is well... retarded. I'll agree on that I changed from African/tropical and added some foresty bits (and the ugly green tree because I thought it gave a mystical pizazz) and then I was watching Modern Family and the Colombian chick made me think about cactuses. also, the go karts are meant to be metal awnings, like you would find in poor places.
I'd love to help you out with your park, but no codex? I love me some stacking objects.
Here's an update that may or may not have anything to do with getting picked in H2H6! Yaaaaaay
First up is some slightly older work that is a different view of that mexico style park I was working on. One day I might get around to finishing this
Secondly is an actual new screen, that hopefully a certain someone won't mind me posting here. A certain someone who seems to be absent as of late. HINT HINT (yeah that's right, I'm talking to you, I saw you posted on the forums a day or two ago )
OMG, that last screen is one of the best I've ever seen First screen is also great! Yeah I also hope to be in the same H2H group, 'cause working with you would be very instructive.

It's certainly different too, which is nice, I like your LL because it's experimental, just normally its a bit more refined.
I don't like the go kart track as awnings, great idea, I just don't think it looks aesthetically pleasing in this situation.

If you build like this it's fine. I'll add you to the conversation.
