I love everything about it, except the crazy paving. I think it's one texture too many, and should be replaced with the ornate tile path. Probably stealing some or all of it if I ever get back to my LL projects.
It isn't truly emulating Natelox unless someone complains about too many path textures!
I suppose if I have to ask whether some work is good or not, I probably already know the answer to that />. Maybe its the building on the right thats off.
That building to the right is so close to the best building ever. Could be the size like Maverick said. I don't really know but it almost looks so incredibly amazing.
I think the building on the right is perfect. But it's the building on the left, and especially the roofing and everything around the roof that looks weird.
The trees are distracting. You're drowning in detailism. At least add greenery that doesn't want to be looked at but is "just there". Right now the trees are overpowering, trying to find their way to the viewer's attention somehow, competing with everything else that's there. This creates disharmony for me. Might just be my usual peeve with detailism, but I think it's worth trying some tree changes: smaller and with less grainy texture, so they only play a secondary or tertiary role.
I'm with posix about the foliage. I also think the balconies on the left building should be reworked to flow better. Right now it doesn't have #DATFLOW
The biggest issue with the building on the left is the assymetrical roof. It's missing bricks from the front. I don't think the foliage is all that bad because my eyes went to the two buildings first.
Making the building on the right one tile deeper would help, would also help the greenery issue that Posix mentioned. Also longer, it looks kinda like a warehouse texture and I like that.
I really adore your work Cocoa. This screen is also really nice. The only thing that bothers me is the use of Liam's tree object is just floating against the side of that red building.
so I've finally decided to just let go of most of my old, unfinished rct2 parks, of which there are unfortunately a lot of. so here's a little zip with a bunch and a handy readme explaining them
the parks are:
six flags mexico style park
phantasialand style park
disney park
disneysea style park
european architecture
brushfire design
new orleans architecture
None of them are spectacular but there's some good stuff in there, so maybe worth a peek if you're bored. Also, should I upload it to the database? (urp, they're probably not all exported, so that's a bitch-can't be bothered redoing them)
The New Orleans archy was fantastic, that would've made for an amazing park.
Also, man it's been a while since we started that one park. Too bad we never really got that far.
Just approved this to go into the site DB. Mapmakers, please make maps for all maps.
Cocoa. Now that I've had a look, I am convinced this is spotlight-if-finished material. To think what a pest you used to be as "RaPiPo" and then develop into a top player like this. I'm afraid it looks as though you're through with RCT, or at least it is unlikely you'll ever finish a decently scaled project. Otherwise you wouldn't have released these, I assume.
Anyhow, I was pretty wowed by some of these. I don't remember detailism working so well for me. The atmospheres you create are fantastic. Difficult things like railway stations you make look simple. Also that multi-storey bar surrounded by water was just an amazing pleasure to look at.

I hope this hasn't been the last RCT from you.
