^ Yeah I was going to mention that. Goddam, why'd they have to choose my 23rd birthday!?
I know, that's the day that the last person of at least 1/2 mayan decent dies or something... Rather than the end of the world which seems unlikely however possible...
So DJ... when you made the park... did you have ANY story behind it, or did you just build a whole bunch of buildings with no meaning and now everyone is creating random theories?
Finally had some time to view some promising parks. And I love your entry!!!
Have opened te park many times already, purely to enjoy what you have done with the archy, how you made extremely creative use of the scenery pieces, and every time I find new details and great solutions again! Cannot take my eyes off of it! It gives such a realistic "deserted town" feel, (a bit menacing also, but then I can luckily turn to the few spots with nice greenies ) Have not seen all parks that are around in the community, but quite a lot and I still think this archy of yours, as well as the layout of the whole map, is stunning!!
Okay, the "coaster" is not much of a "coaster" but that does not bother me in any way, as it just does fit so nicely into the "concept" of this park (if there is any?). It just looks in place there, meaning or not. (Though I can imagine that for people who have to judge, they "have" to distract points for this.)
Besides all that, the park indeed is intriguing, as to what concept may lay behind it. I am not so sure anymore that any real "coherent" concept may lay be behind it (just fractions I guess, but who knows?), and of course nobody will seriously wait for 2012 or whatever that may mean!! for you to "reveal" it ,so I'm no longer bothering with that. But still the fact that you pulled off this atmosphere so magnificently that many people cannot stand the challenge to keep guessing about "what may be hidden behind", is a real great accomplishment as such also (imo).
When this one (so good already imo) was placed so rather low, my expectations for the next ones were getting skyhigh, if they all would be going to beat this one!.
Well, I liked number #10 also a lot - but not as much as yours -, and then #9 was a complete letdown (diligent work, but very mediocre quality) . Luckily #8 boosted up my expectations again.
Good thing anyway that the judges represent different tastes, but maybe it is not such a good idea to have extreme LL-lovers to judge an RCT2-contest ( :' /> ) Like it would not seem a good idea to ask vegetarians to judge the taste of steaks from a new bread of cows? (just an idea, cannot tell for sure as I don't know all of the judges and their accomplishments in RCt2 well enough).
Anyway, congrats on a really amazing entry, (looking forward to the discussions until "2012"!!) you must have had fun building this one when I view the results, and I am having fun and getting inspiration when opening it again and again, and am wishing you further fun with all the reactions!
Thanks for making and sharing this one!.
(do sooooo hope to see more of your work in near future)

It was actually an RCT2 and RCT1 (LL) competition. It's just that so far we haven't seen any LL entries, and I wouldn't be surprised if we never do (though the possibility of it has been mentioned). For the first PT there were several LL parks. But now, few people still play LL. Several of the judges represent those who still do (except I'm not sure if natelox is still active or not).
this was a pleasent suprise. it seems the further down the rankings you get, the better the parks get. are you sure the judges properly understood the voting system? or are they just idiots? or maybe not 104 years old like me?
back when i was young, parks actually used colors other than those found in crayola boxes. this park takes me back to those innocent times...
oh, um, yeah.
it's still in the "new style", as i call it, sort of, but i like it. wierd. and awesome. that stupid helix coaster, though, what? are there actually any rides worth looking at? doubtful. the scenery is pretty though, in a ugly sort of way.
i'm a bit surprised that people are actually commenting on things i said at 2:00 in the morning. my mind doesn't work at 2:00 in the morning, just my body, and while my body might type, without the help of my mind, none of it is really worth anyone's time, not even my own. i'm not even sure why i did it, i just did.
although, now that i'm in a somewhat more, uh, lucid state, i do kind of agree with myself. most of the parks in this year's protour are really exciting to look at, but, once the excitement wears off, and it always does, there's nothing left. i suppose that's true of most everything being released at the moment, unfortunitely.

Is that like, San Clemente?

Do you always have to bash on every single park I make? You always try to find fault with everything I comment, make, or post on it seems...

And that makes about a dozen posts by me in this topic.
