Maybe some people wondered what the heck happened with MGA, and let’s say it got finished three months ago. I tried for runner-up/spotlight, but blah, the park isn’t that great anyway. Here's the list of all the rides and areas in the park :
A.)Minnesota Main Street : 1.)Sky Ride
B.)Cannonball Grove : 2.)The Cannonball 3.)Zodiac 4.)Ultra Twister
C.)Boardwalk : 5.)Dynamic Cinema 6.)Hard Rock 7.)Katualia's Lair
Wow, just wow. This should have made runner-up. This everything I look for, in a park, themed areas-but realisticly themed, Great architecture, Perfect custom rides, and great, unique rollercoasters. The only coaster I didn't like at all was Reinaart's Revenge, but the rest were great. And the detail in this park is just amazing. This might beat Cypress Rock as my favorite park. Great work Corckscrew!
You could have waited until iris revealed the runner-ups for Bijou Magique. You would have definitely have had a runner-up with this. Anyway, I don't have LL installed but from this screen and the many others, you have shown., I can safely say that this is my favourite park at the moment.
You have an amzing, original style and I look forward to seeing what else you can do in RCT2. Great park mate.
@yyo : I agree on Reinaart's Revenge, it sucks. I got in trouble with the track since the train didn't want to complete the whole circuit and the track didn't really turn out like I was hoping. Ah well, I made a better version of the Gerstlaurer Euro Fighter in another park (and probably there'll come one more in one of my parks), this one was more like a test for it in RCT1. Thx for the reply
@jon : Well, it's been about three months since I sent it in so I highly doubted I'd still be able to get a runner-up spot plus the fact it was getting a bit outdated I just decided to release it. Thx for the comment, but uhm, RCT2 isn't really my thing. I think it was fun to try out the game once again for MDA, but I just don't enjoy RCT2 like I used to...
@Sparker9014 : Ehr, thx for the reply, but in case you wanna see the whole park, I posted a download link in my first post. Or if you don't have LL, here's the old topic about MGA (or check out the read me file, it contains some little pics too) where you can find some screenshots.
easily a runner-up for me and also worth a parkmaker-consideration.
I agree. I've been waiting for this release for a long time and have seen it at various points of construction, but the end result is just beautiful and I'm proud to say that I live in the state that it represents. While not exactly capturing the feel of Minnesota, it does it well enough, and its one hell of a park with that aside. Great job.
I absolutely love your custom rides, they are up there with the best. The rest of the park was beautiful as well. Nice job on your coasters, they are well designed and thought out. You pulled off your themes very well. I think it could have at least gotten Runner-Up. Nice job, Corkscrew.
@posix : Uhm, wow. I already knew your opinion about the park, but this is a bit overwhelming to read Thx a lot.
@thorpedo : Merci beaucoup. I know the park doesn't look a thing like Minnesota, but I just needed a spot to put the park, so yeah, thx for the inspiration So, ever thought about a Belgian park lately, Thorp? lol.
@Dixon Steele : Thx for the comment, altough I don't think they're really worth being compared to rides like Wikiki Wave by RRP or Epirus by Nate
Amazing.
Like every-else has said, easely a runner up.
the park, Very creative. Nice custom ride's wich just make the park so original and a joy to look at. My favourite area in the park is the boardwalk and the whole area surrounding it. Your version of the standard boomrang is simple but creative. The architecture is good and rather detailed for a rct1 park. For the rest i really liked "Magma" it just attracts my attention.
What i do miss in the park is a big spectacular coaster. You only seem to have small coasters no real big one's....
One of the better rct parks i have seen, mainly cause it's so original.
thats about all i have to say. Looking forward to your next park.
I completely agree with all of them.
A very nice park.
The custom rides look very nice.
I also like the 97°-Coaster, especially the First Drop
The other rides look also very nice, but now matter how good the rides are, the theming and the atmosphere is much better.
Hope we'll see more realistic parks.
There isn't a real stand-out coaster in the park like you said Splash, and you're not the only one who misses a big guy in it. I mostly focused on experimental coasters (my Pretzel Knot, Ultra Twister and the two Stall coasters (or whatever those are called) for example) and a huge coaster wasn't possible anymore due a lack of space.
Next time *cough*maybe Garfield's Paws Studios*cough* I might give a giant a try, if the custom rides and darkrides won't swallow the whole map
