Since the release of his "EverQuest: Waters of the Past" Super Runner-Up many months ago, Prince had taken a hiatus from the site and seemingly nobody (other then Twisted) had heard from this persistent parkmaker in months. That was, until he released screens of his new three-map mega project "Project Ownage", easily his best work to date, which got all Prince's supporters in a frenzy...only to find that Prince would go missing for another long period of time. To my surprise, I found out from him on AIM that he was planning on entering the Pro Tour, which was the first I had heard from him since seeing the Ownage screens. And after all these months of waiting, what do we have? Improvement. All aspects of his parkmaking have taken a step up....maybe not from Waters of the Past, but definitely from any other park he's ever created. His architectural skills seem much more refined now, they used to have that 'something missing' feel but now they just feel right. The coasters too, same thing. While the end of the park was an obvious rush job, resulting in a lower ranking then he probably wanted, this entry does serve as the perfect preview to his newest project. Maybe he'll even be around the site one day to release it.
Very nice park, pa. The area around the v drop was the best for me, and if you were going for a great gatsby theme, you didn't really hit it for me (English coursework ). But the rest was good stuff, I liked the foliage work especially.
i didn't really like this one. To me it still doesn't have any zing or whatever. The buildings are looking better, but not amazing (or atleast not throughout) The only thing i can really commend you on is the pretty smooth beemer, with yet an interesting layout. The woodie wasn't for me, nor that entire area.. a tad rushed too i think. the one building i really liked.. wait, are you calling me stupid.. well that was a nice building, the orange flower really added to that. Oh well, the entire theming was just a little too cliche for me, and i still think a lot of it is jotted down almost thoughtlessly (or atleast it looks like that to me)

I thought this was just a great park, but the one flaw was that nothing stood out.
Again, nothing really caught my eye, made me want to look deeper in the park.
I guess it's just a personal preferance or something, but I just don't generally like these type of parks... Becuase nothing stands out.
But I'm not going to knock it, I know there was lots of skill involved, and it shows that it couldn't be done by just another person.
Prince really has this style down, and he can pull it off well, but like I said before, show me something interesting! Mix it up some.
Overall, though, this was a good park. Nice going Prince_Ashitaka!
Nice park. The enterence area was the best IMO. The archetecture, landscaping, the Bimmer and of course those beautiful red flowers create a wonderful atmosphere. The area with Vertigo was okay. The flowers there were excellent and the archetecture was very good, however I didn't care for the water coaster. The area with "Man Hunter" was too bad except that the treeing and theming around the ride looked rushed and uncared for. The Great Gatsby, as a coaster, was pretty decent and the area was nice; however it didn't fit the book which was somewhat boring and dark.
Great stuff PA - especially Duna De Arena, which was my favourite area. I really liked the vert coaster emerging out of that rock outcrop. I liked the layout on The Crusader, too, but wasn't so keen on the woodie layout. Architecture was very nice throughout, and it all had that nice glow that people seem to be able to get from the game which I can't seem to get at all. I like the glow.
Anyway, good stuff - more anticipation for Ownage now!
One half of this park I love the other just wasn't as good.
As I know and you know the later half was rushed which I guess really did affect the rest of the park and its ranking in the Pro Tour.
The Enterance and Duna De Arena were both excellent areas and if the rest of the park was up to that standard it would have placed much higher i'm sure. I love the architecture throughout both areas and the arch windows are done really nicely. Great coasters too.
The other areas although rushed wern't that bad, some of the architecture is really quite nice but the majority is more on the rushed side. Not to sure on the pink, but that's just me.
The architecture was solid, great coasters, and overall it was very nice too look at. I think the Royal Cinema could have been better though. I can't wait to see Project Ownage complete, it will be amazing. Great work PA!
The Crusader was an excellent coaster, the foliage/architecture was good on the right side of the park, and the banner messages were entertaining, but that's about it. The wooden coaster seemed out of place (very odd layout, and not-so-hot ratings), and the Victoria section was very bland (nice flowers, though). The back jungle section was just boring.
The park was nice enough, I suppose... but I just don't see how it got the high ranking it received. If it had been ranked lower, I might have enjoyed it more, but after parks like Gouvia Point, 10th Kingdom, and , you raise the expectations, and this one didn't seem to meet it. Sorry, PA... but I'm still looking forward to Ownage.
How I Rank Them:
14) Gouvia Point- voodoo
15) The 10th Kingdom- Six Frags
16) N.E.R.D.- Gymkid Dude
17) Harmony Harbor- Micool
18) Ancient Enchantments- Prince Ashitaka
19) Poplar Grove- ride6
20) Darkwood Amusements- Posix
21) Elements- gir
22) Palm Springs Florida- nemesischris
23) Country Squire AP- rwadams
A solid park, but as most have mentioned, nothing really stood out. Everything was simply good. The woodie was extremely slow in one place, but the initial drop looked great.
I thought this was a boring run of the mill LL park. It is very hard nowadays to create an eye-catching LL park because of the restrictions. However, some of the architecture was very good with great forms and elements that went together well. The coasters were alright; the woodie desperately needed some kind of custom supports. I liked the use of foliage and most of the theming. I hope to see something more creative in your next park and I know you can do it.
I've never been a huge fan of Prince_Ashitaka's work. That aside, he has greatly improved since his last park with "Ancient Enchantments". The rides are pretty good, the themeing is pretty good and the architecture is pretty good. And that's the problem. Everything is "pretty good" and nothing is exceptional. The fact that the park seemed rushed didn't help things either. If you keep playing, you'll get there one day. BTW, "The Great Gatsby"'s ratings could have used some fixing up.
I thought the park was rather boring. Technically, it was very good, but I can hardly remember what it was like, and I don't feel like looking at it again.

It had good architecture and theming.
It had a strong line-up of coasters.
And everything just seemed to fall together perfectly.
Oh, and those flowers in the Gatsby area are HOT.
Anyway.. nice job. Loved it.
