How so? I don't know 75% of the stuff that comes through the AP, But then I don't trawl the Ad district daily I suppose.
And how would you change it. If there's no panel what you are essentially saying is going back to the Iris days and just have The admins say yes or no? Which trust me no one wants.
In all seriousness, I hope to look at this soon. My LL blew up and I haven't reinstalled yet.
As far as I understood the lowest vote and the highest vote are not counted.
For example with Nyoka
(85+80+80+75+75+75+70+70+70+70+70+70+65+55+45)/15 = 70.33
(80+80+75+75+75+70+70+70+70+70+70+65+55)/13 = 71.15
Nyoka got 71.15 so Pierrots 45% and Kumbas 85% were not counted.
Never knew that.
So no reason to attack panelists... very clever.
And yet...
Not anymore though...i've learned from my own stupidity.
It's simply too small of a community to have a good accolade panel or worthwhile accolade system in general. By the time the park is released and the page made, it's not even a surprise save for the handful of random members outside the backstage stuff.
And I don't think we will see much difference in which park wins accolades if we have the admins pick the winners.
See i disagree. Take Nyoka for example. There's more than 50 downloads so far and the accolade panel is 15. Thats more than a handful right there. Electric Park has 127 downloads.
And for an LL park in particular this is certainly not true. I can't count how many posts I get on each of my releases saying "I wish I had LL so I could view this". Its impossible for each of those to have seen the park before release.
The community is small but it's not that small. I think you underestimate the number of people who don't post often but still look at the accolades.
I feel like the foliage mix doesn't quite work, but it is close enough to give a unique feel. Likewise, the architecture scheme is a slightly offbeat collection of parts that works quite nicely. The overall composition of things is very, very nice - that is, the way the ride elements are placed over water or the flats break up the path. I particularly liked the use of open grass to let things breathe. The coaster took the elements a little fast for my taste, and I have to admit being puzzled on a couple of counts: why build the back spike for the shuttle loop without using it, and why use random characters on the banners?
