It's no surprise that Twisted and Prince come back to back in this contest. After all, they are quite easily the most similar Parkmakers on staff here at New Element. They are good friends on AIM and seem to enjoy keeping to themselves. They sort of 'stay on the outside' of the big talk, both are very mysterious, both are very similar in their work ethic and approach. If I didn't know better, I would think these two were related, and not just partners in crime at NE. It seems this time though that Twisted pulled slightly ahead of Prince, with his latest installment. Featuring a very similar feel and theme to Wasted Years, Twisted brings his coaster-architecture back, mixed with some improved theming and basic architecture skills. The only thing that's hurting this park is possibly the rush-job factor that's quite obvious in some areas of the park, and the coasters may not be completely up to par, although I did enjoy the Arrow Looper. Lots of people consider Twisted a 'runner-up parkmaker', that is...one of those parkmakers that stay in the Runner-Up area, never excelling to Spotlight, but I don't see that. He reminds me of OZONE sorta, finding his niche, before he finally breaks out and will release one hell of a park to finally get his name the recognition he deserves.
I liked it a lot. Machine had a very interesting layout with the diagonal camelbacks, and the supports were good for it. The architecture was very nice in most places, with some nifty overhangs that worked very well. The woodie had a solid layout, althought it was a little too short. I felt your coasters went underground for a bit too much (especially the corkscrew) making it hard to follow. I think underground sections should generally be shorter to a better effect, but overall, a very good park.
Someone got vTd'ed Bad luck bro'. I really cannot believe that vTd ranked this park so low - it's far and away the best park to be released so far, and i'm not just saying that cos we know each other. I really want to hear his explanation on this one - where are you, vTd?
You did a great job, Twisted - now Release those Demons soon or i'll make you keep that bet
Great park. A step or two up from Wasted Years even. Wow. The coasters were the only thing that was questionable at all. The theming and archetecture was detailed and formed with such skill that it's almost illegal. The coasters layouts were what was not so hot, but they all blended into their enviroments nicely (A real skill of yours).
This is definently me favorite entry so far, even though it isn't really my style. There is something about it. Twisted, you're on the fast track to the level OZONE hit right before he left. It is beautiful in that everything flows so naturally.
Only one major request from me: Keep your coaster above the ground alittle more, please.
I had a look, i really like what Twisted did with track archy, very creative detail was added from that. I liked all the coaster and the park as a whole, yet i just did not see anything too special, best entry yet tho.. (btw aint that remondenit to say? each one should be better anyways).
Seems like the enthusiasm for the Pro Tour is dying. I'm probably going to wait a few days to continue posting the entries.
Oh, poo..don't do that lol. SOME people still have enthusiasm. I may not post what I think, but I still love looking at them...and this site is pretty dull without a constant update.
I looked at the park, but didn't comment because I thought that my comments had already been covered by the excellent write up... it's true I look forward to rct2 entries more, as well.
Anyway, nice park Twisted, it did everything right... but I'm yet to see a park that was actually trying to win this thing.
And vTd strikes again! This was an excellent park, though I'm no LL expert. Your architecture was fantastic used in between the mountains. I really liked the woody because it seemed to flow very well with the architecture. Your landscaping was excellent in places.. and nonexistent in others, but I think for the better. I didn't find anything particularly innovative throughout the park, however. You just went with a solid theme that has been done before, but I still think you tackled it very well, so good work.
I'm not denouncing this as unoriginal. I just see the same thing with a lot of these LL entries so far.. they all look pretty similar to me. I mean.. they are innovative with specific things like you mentioned, but a lot of them carry out the same overall theme to me.
This park is amazing, and the best I've seen so far. If this is what 13th is, I can't imagine how the rest are. My favorite parts were the entrance, the coaster "Cuirassier", and the mountain range. Extra emphasis on Cuirassier, and the surrounding area. I absolutely LOVED it. I could stare at it all day; Twisted is a genius.
Excellent park... I just loved the area (sorry, the name escapes me) at the entrance behind the mountains.... it was just beautiful. Perfect, in my eyes... plus, those diagonal bunny hills on the steelie and Cuirassier's double loops and surroundings... were just exceptional. The architecture was pleasant enough; all of the "trackarchy" (new term...?) seemed inspired and was quite lovely.
I can't decide if I like this one or Gouvia Point better... but it's definitely one of the top two I've seen yet.
Now... to go check out Wasted Years (I totally missed that download)...
Some of the best use of landscaping I have ever seen. Everything was to my taste. Every building was unique and unforgetable. The way you separated those two, totally different sections, with the crazy jagged mountain(s), was, honestly, amazing. Every hack you did flowed so well with everything else, and the use of coaster parts, as scenery, was executed with extreme finess. This definitaly should have been ranked higher...much higher.

Well i'm at a loss, really. If people denounce this park as unoriginal then what hope is there?
