I finally got the park to download all I can say is WOW a very nice park the look is great a real authentic feel with the custom music and black and white creates that old time feel.
Indeed, great work Jonny! I loved the feel of the ride and the look. You really captured the atmosphere of the roaring 20s. The little news stand and other details were just great. A clear winner imo.
Liam, quite nice LL work. Still not sure what movie that is, but it was a great layout and some nice codex details. Bring out your big RCT2 guns next time tho!
Arjan's entry might not have finished in the top 3, but it's pretty good and worth a look. Nice job of making your buildings interact with the coaster. Just the whole thing feel a little lifeless. Please work on adding more atmosphere next time.
Pierrot, this was really cool and I loved the detail. I think I ended up ranking it last because to me it seemed rushed and like a wild gimmick. Still this was a very strong round, so don't be to upset with it not finishing at the top.
Also a big thanks to Liam and the NE staff for adding these entries to the DB. I need to figure out why the files did not all upload properly. I hope there will be no issues with that next month.
jonny: i think it was a close between you and liam. I actually much preferred your colored version, it felt a lot more alive and atmospheric. I thought you could have done more where that coaster was, though. I would have been more than happy with a cut-off section of the coaster (maybe the loop and a bit of track) and a lot more boardwalk space. solid work though.
liam: also no clue what the movie was. it seemed like a non-specific classic LL theme for me, and that's what i think made jonny's a little better. it needed a little more theme definition, I think, but otherwise was fantastic.
pierrot: i actually really liked it. cool little details and whatever. definitely the black tiles underneath really detracted from it though, as you couldn't see the sculpture properly... probably should have put some grass or something.
arjan: as kumba said, definitely needs some atmosphere and planning. it had big, open, generic buildings with little purpose, and a coaster layout that seemed awkward at best. but it was still a good effort, and it showed some promise.
Thanks a lot for the comments!
@olddtfan51: I am glad you liked feeling of this micro.
@Chorkiel: Wow thanks.
@Kumba: I am glad that i was able to bring over a bit of this atmosphere, nice that you liked it.
@Cocoa: Yes you are right that the colored version has a bit more live but i think the atmosphere of this time should be black or white. I thought an operation ride is much better than a cut-off one, but you are right with the empty space, i just thought a contrast to the busy street would be fine.

I'll add them to the database, by the way. So no one else worry about that.
