Rift Valley by Mala
Well, what can be said that's probably already not swirling around inside your head? Unbelievably, Mala does not win the Pro Tour, but will have to settle for an almost equally impressive second place finish with his latest installment of perfection. The last time we saw Mala he was busy dominating the Hi-Rollers Contest with the unbelievable "Escalante River Falls", and this time he brings us something completely different. What to me seems like the enhanced, absolutely breahttaking continuation of Mount Sinister in RCT2, Mala brings Rift Valley, my personal favorite entry of the contest. Featuring an unbeatable arsenal of coasters, highlighted by "Psycho Speedway", a set of dueling, launched B&M Multi-Element coasters with a beautiful support system and some absolutely unbelievable theming (not to mention possibly the best layout for duelers...ever). Speaking of beautiful supports, I've never seen any supports better then the ones found on the inverted monster in this park...and just to put the icing on the cake, he brings us the best of Escalante as well, bringing us another absolutely mindboggling wooden coaster. And while Mala's style might not be loved by everyone across the board (not saying any names...), I myself will continue bowing in the greatness of the best parkmaker to ever pick up the game.

Anyways, woot.

I don't know how you come up with the insane, ingenous structures, you are able to build with toons blocks. It's amazing! You start a whole new style, that's really untouchable.
The coaster layouts weren't the best, and the park seemed a bit too busy, and I think that organization was your downfall in this park.
This park really shows how far someone can think outside the box.
You really are too good for the game.
Congrats for making it this far.
Oh, and, Psycho speedway ruled

CBass must have made something really special to beat this... I wonder why VTD gave it such a low ranking..

I mean, the coasters were cool, but too unrealistic for my tastes. And it just seemed like you wanted to cram rides in there where they weren't needed (slowed my computer down to a fucking snail's pace with all the rides going).
However, I love the supports and 1/4 tile work.
It just seemed like the park was way too crowded, which brought the park down for me. Good job on #2, anyway.
And a big congrats to cBass.. I knew you would win.

My favourite part of the park was the station and brake area to Equinox. How evil did that look? It was absolutely awesome with the steep spiked rooves and the black.
I adored the coaster layouts. The speedway was fantastic and all of the inversions were made really interesting. Not to mention the awesome steel 1/4 tile supports holding them up, especially on the illmellmans. Wow.
The woodie was awesome too. The fort it was in was executed brilliantly and i didn't find the excessive use of brown overwhelming. It just enhanced the look.
And the invert. That was huge and i loved it. Your style of coaster building is unique and fantastic. I don't know how you do it, you seem to break so many rules, yet come out with the most amazing layouts.
This is a park I will look at again and again......sheesh. vTd.....what were you thinking?

Stunning... just, purely, stunning.
So much to see... so much to do... so much game-freezing (a compliment; more time to look around at everything!)...
Incredible coasters... incredible flat rides...
Best theming ever (Station for Equinox: jaw... floor)...
Black, green, purple, and gray have never looked so good...
This is Mount Sinister in RCT2...
I can't say much more. On most parks that I like, I find things to say I love and things I didn't, but with this... it's just one big package labeled "wow".
Mala is in a league of his own. No one can touch him.
Well, maybe cBass, I suppose... I'm really looking forward to it.
And... to vTd... you've got some serious explaining to do...

btw I IM'ed cBass to congratulate him, and he said "I can't believe I beat Mala. It feels like I kicked Jesus in the balls or something." ROFLMAO

Mala, you've outdone yourself. I loved your supports, and the theming was simply wonderful. Great job.

As it is I still believe that this is the best park in the PT thus far, just not the best Mala park.
But then again it took me 6 months to fall in love with Escalante and a week later Mt. Sinister... Who knows, maybe I'll think this to be the best in a few months. Only time will tell.

Anyway, WOW! This is now officially my favorite RCT park ever. Period. The coasters are fantastic, but the architecture is what puts this in a class by itself. The station and lift for Equinox (hell, the whole ride) make my heart smile. Every single little architectural touch is unique and ingenious.
Thank you, Mala. We are not worthy.

First off, it lacked the composure of escalante.
Now... I just love how you fill about half the map with duelers... and still find space for a woodie and invert. The 1/4 detail was awesome... I know this sounds really specific, but one thing architecturally you do better than anything else is for me your supports for buildings ie, the ones above rides among others. I adore this park for what it is, and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I hope you find the time to grace us with your precense in next year's pro tour (*hint iris )

I can only pray that Mala is working on a full (well 120X120) rct2 map. It would be a dream come true.
