I've had this great desire to do a park without custom sceanery for a while now, that's what this is. However I think a couple walls of the same texture/color as the ones that come with the game snuck in that are technically "custom". Basically I built it for the ThrillNetwork Premier Parks contest since it's applicible. Here's some screens and the D-load:
Fucking ace, ride6. You're easily one of the best non-parkmakers right now.
The only problem I had was the area around the Intamin; it seemed a little thrown together, like you just wanted to get it done.
Yeah I did that on purpose. I had about 3 weeks to put the whole thing together so I layed out the Intamin to take up as much space as humanly possible. Actually all three (main) coasters are a bit overgrown.
Oh and thank you for all the comments. This was something I needed to get out of my system and I figured if I could win some kind of award for it that would be great. Oh, and I released it here because I haven't had a major release for a little while (Light Shadows Valley) and I figured it couldn't hurt anyone to remember that I exist.
It was okay I thought. You automatically get a billion bonus points for using no custom scenery. However, a lot of your buildings.. and really the whole park in general didn't seem like it strived for anything. Every building seemed to have a different theme than the next and I didn't really know what to make of it. For instance, there were both fantasy and realism themes here and it was confusing to determine what you were going for. Please build another no-customs park, but try to have some sort of general theme (or whatever you want to call it) in mind beforehand.
The skill in general though was top notch. I enjoyed looking through the park.
An overall solid park, with some good landscaping and rides. It seemed poorly planned, though, and the overall aim of the park was a bit unclear. It seemed like a bunch of rides and coasters slapped together, and nothing more (or nothing less).
But, on the other hand, the coasters (except for the Intamin which spent too much underground and just plain didn't work for me) were good. The layouts were all unique and used the landscape perfectly. The archy was excellent, especially considering you didn't use custom scenery.
The whole park reminded me a lot of Light Shadows Valley: good landscaping and rides, but they weren't really tied together or didn't feel tied together. It's hard to explain. But again, good park and glad to see another release from you to add to the already awesome list.
Neither this or my other recent Valley had any real planning. I just sorta rolled with things. Planning is something I'll do for stuff like the Pro Tour or my next full park, this was not one of those. This was a fun park, something to remind me of how entertaining this game really is when you're not forcing yourself to build. This was 100% play and 0% work. For some parks I have to force myself to build, even though I know I'll get into it after 20 minutes or something I just don't look forward to sitting down and getting started. This park wasn't at all like that. I thought about this park when I was away from the computer and I looked forward to working on or playing with it when I got back.
So, really there was no planning, but I sware I've got some of that "planned" stuff coming in the next few months.
See the above post as to why. That and the landscaping style is something I petty much ripped off Mala because I couldn't come up with my own really. Landscaping is something that doesn't offer a lot of options, as much as I would like them.

that is a pathetic excuse, really.
We don't see you coming up with anything "fresh" in the landscaping department and the fact the I'm fully willing to admit that I ripped of Mala a bit with my landscaping style shows that I honor that person very much.
The excuse still stands however, as a truth. You can landscape in the "Fatha" style, the "Schussler" style or the "Mala" style or it's too choppy or flat to enjoy.
And the sloppyness was already expained, I was enjoying myself, isn't that allowed anymore!?

please, do not try to blame me for your lack of creativity.
Honestly, there's only so much you could do with landscaping styles.
It's almost too hard not to emulate another style that's already been "established", so to speak.
