This park "concept" of sorts has been my "next" solo ever since I fished IO. The first file ("Solo1") was started in December just over two years ago now... The other is a re-start of the same basic project with some overhauls that I started shortly after the Pro Tour two.
Both are filled with too many compromises. I love some of the stuff I did, particularly in the newer one (the coasters, the hotel, a few of the buildings) but there's just too much shit taking up too much space. And I got too realistic with the whole mess. As a result when I open the file I don't know where or what to build because it just doesn't feel right.
I'll try again here soon, with a better workbench, more planning, and maybe in LL.
Yeah the hotel was definatly better in game. I loved both but i felt your new one was alot better. Sure there was'nt alot but i could see where you were going with it all. I love your kind of parkmaking so this was a really nice piece of work to look at. I don't know why but i loved the way you did the double carosuel on both maps. Just something random i noticed. Plus you wooden coaaster in your new one was really nice. I wish it did'nt have so many lift hill pieces though. Great job i really wished you finsihed your newer one because it would of been amazing, still nice work.
Ah, thanks for taking an in-depth look at it (and indicating so with your post).
The lift chains I can explain: they're meant as anti-rollbacks since the ride crests many of those hills at relatively low speeds. Meaning on a windy day the ride could stall, catch my drift?
Anyway it's nice to here that it's appreciated. I'm not sure what I'll be doing next; probably something in LL if I come to love the codex trainer as much as everyone else seems to.
Sorry to be so exceptionally cheap as to bump this but you'd think two 20% complete rct2 solos by an official parkmaker might warrent more than 5 replies. Or at least I would...

Enjoy, for a while I certainly did.

I really liked the landscaping in the newer park.
Shame these weren't completed.
