I'll respond your reply rather Ruben.

IMHO the site has become over critical and I hope its not turning builders off. It did me and is part of my lack of motivation.

sorry but you mean do I need to care all builders motivation and feelings when I judging a park? hmm..did you think its objective? I'll be ashamed if I realized panelists gave me high score because they concerned about my motivation. and if I got a low score I'd rather improve my ability more and try to surprise the panelists who gave me a low score. not being frustrated and complaint to him.

7 People thought this was design. 8 thought it wasn't. You cant please everyone. Focus on pleasing those who do like it. But most importantly, focus on pleasing yourself.

Quite frankly, this got the score is deserved. I would just take this submission and use it as a catalyst to acquiring an accolade.

Everyone, please stop crying about the accolade panelist. It is always those who show some mediocre work that cry about the voting. If you have been around the community for as long as we have, you might understand where we are coming from. Clearly by the score it obtained, it is evident that it wasn't bad nor was it spectacular. This is a pretty respectable score IMO. Keep it up FredD and you will soon get that accolade.

No you don't. My comment above was in general.

MY comment about your voting is that I'm not the only one who finds it interesting. If it was the other way around where someone was 50% of the time voting in the 80-100% range, my gut tells me they would be pulled from the panel however I could be wrong.

My comment about being critical is I think with the few members we have left building, now is not the time to be over critical. Nit picking about micro detailing on someone's full scale park is in my opinion not helping them . If you can get around the object limit by being creative in selection and usage, how long does it take to build a spotlight or even gold winning park. 1, 2 even three years and that is IF it gets finished. Why do we think we are seeing so many unfinished parks? When there is feedback about not enough detail or you used the wrong 1k-ruins object, and you see panelists that have never voted anything above 70%, its just a bit depressing. Again, its a dangerous path we are on and I would love to see a "State of NE" (kind of like a state of the union speech) from the admins on what they see happening with NE. My concern is the rapid rate the site is declining in activity and I wonder if anyone else feels/sees this. If its just me, then by all means please continue.

BTW - I have no problem with the overall score. Just pointing out an observation

FredD - Sorry to have hijacked your topic. This will be the last I bring this up

I don't believe the decrease in activity is from the attitudes of members/voting of submissions/ or the H2H drama, I think it is simply because many of the members, including myself, are busy with college at the moment. Winter and Summer seem to be the most active seasons at NE because of the down time. I for one know I am super busy at the moment with school but have ideas flooding my mind that I would love to implement into the game.

This I agree with; lots of ideas on paper that takes way too long to make in the game, and with the current workload I have it isn't possible.

I find it interesting too that this really old game now has a following of college-aged students, including many that followed it since they were in middle school! Tracking the evolution is quite interesting.

@Fred, I liked the design enough to give it a design score, although barely. I did not mind Dragon Khan being cut off, and I don't understand why everyone else is having such a hissy fit over it. I enjoyed the layout and saw the obvious references, and the station was well done.

What I did not like so much was the overuse of straight paths surrounded by walls/foliage... that is what killed the atmosphere for me, not the cut off coaster (which shouldn't be a problem imo, it's been done in quite a few designs...). That was the weakest part for me, along with the fact that you did not have a secondary ride or two and there was not much other content on the map... imagine if you had included a custom flat by the dive loop of DK and three or four more buildings within the area!

Best of luck on whatever you'll be working on, and you will definitely be getting an accolade if you planned out your designs a little more and not rush it for submission.

About the foliage: I'd like to know what is wrong with it and how it should be done to make it better. Because I don't dislike the foliage myself, I can only guess what to do different with it.

Foilage is a hard nut to crack.

I personally think that detailed architecture is easyer than placing foilage. :p
Composition is a real important thing for foilage as well as difference in colours ,hight ,variety.
Somehow i still don't fully get that either.
It's hard to see what's wrong with it ,if you just can't see it.

I thought this was rather nice. Lots of things could have been done better as others said, but I still thought this was well done.
Yes, I do realize that I'm a bit generous as opposed to stingy when it comes to accolade scoring. But I also vote by how things make me feel as a whole upon viewing. This was something I really enjoyed looking at and left a positive impression on me.
That being said; Fred, you need an attitude adjustment mister!

I love pierrot votes and think there's nothing wrong with them. There are stricter and more generous panelists. It always balances out.
