Starting in 2004 I created three solo parks using inspiration from RCT2.com’s Vacation Parks as well as the newly released Six Flags Worlds of Excitement. In 2007 the computer (laptop, actually) that I built these parks on pretty much died and I thought that I had lost my first solo works permanently. However it turns out the laptop is still functional and I was able to access the files in July of 2012.
About Disney's Wonderful World: [Completed March 5, 2005]
Heavily inspired by my favorite Disney park ever made in RCT: Disneyland Resort New York. Don't be fooled by the size of the map, as this park is actually smaller than it looks. That's not to say that it is by any means tiny!
The park features three "areas" and a "main street". For the most part this park was a testing ground for all of the different rollercoaster ideas that I had in my head at the time, so don't expect anything along the lines of "classic" Disney parkmaking. I still love most of the rides in this, although I have to admit that some of those ideas simply didn't work (Donald's Rage) while others are just not pleasant to look at (most of Tomorrowland).
Watch out for a few design flaws in this one. For starters there are ABSOLUTELY NO LITTER BINS, LAMPS, OR BENCHES in this park! I closed the park for this release (it was open in the old save file) for the viewer's protection.
Some things to look out for:
- This park is absolutely NOT peep friendly; you have been warned. - Donald's Rage will get stuck if left open for too long (due to breakdowns). - Lilo & Stitch: The Ride is prone to collisions if left open for too long.
