Starting in 2004 I created three solo parks using inspiration from RCT2.com’s Vacation Parks as well as the newly released Six Flags Worlds of Excitement. In 2007 the computer (laptop, actually) that I built these parks on pretty much died and I thought that I had lost my first solo works permanently. However it turns out the laptop is still functional and I was able to access the files in July of 2012.
About Islands Of Three: [Completed January 17, 2005]
“Islands of Three” is the first of the three old solo parks that I built. The idea is simple: take three islands and make a amusement park out of it. In all honesty, most of the park is rather sub-par, even for me. Still there are a few gems that can be found, such as Ice Ride, a floorless coaster, and Hypersonic Jungle Cat, my personal favorite. Hypersonic Jungle Cat is the only ride/area/thing in the park that is actually modeled after a specific real life ride: the now defunct Hypersonic XLC.
A very nostalgic park for me to look through, and certainly one that I'm proud of finishing. Be warned though: typo's abound in this park!
Interesting concept, but way, way too much water, and the islands themselves seem very empty. If you had spun the "amusement park run out of space because they've used every square inch of the islands" angle, it might have been pretty awesome. Can't comment further because of the WW/TT.
