A belated Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who visits NE. Hope your holiday meal was delicious and satisfying!

But if by chance it wasn't to your full liking, perhaps you'd like to sink your teeth into a new Design? Indeed, our "tour of the parkmakers who will prolly never release another thing agin" with a true diamond in the rough: a design by John! His entry, Musette, is another wonderful entry from the aborted IAAPA 2 project. It's a unique B&M multi-looper that features the traditional wonderful John theming you'd expect and some possibly unexpected John coaster talent.

Consider this a post-Thanksgiving gift of sort... because who knows when we'll see another one of John's works? Posted Image

And forgive me on the logo... honestly, what am I supposed to work with here? What's a Musette? Posted Image

There are a few meanings to this word: a small French bagpipe, a small oboe or a reed stop on the organ.

Wow, I really liked the layout and detail of the supports on this. The track flowed from one thing into the next and just really looked incredible. I didn't like the theming as much, but the landscaping around the coaster is very nicely done.

    corkscrewed, that logo is beautiful.

as for the ride, the same can be said. john's style is one of the most visually pleasing ones that i've seen out there, and this is no exception. the ride itself was kind of unusual, but it was still great. i think there's w a little bit too much foliage, but it's not too bad.

Nice work, the both of you.

Wow...is this design elegant or what.

Don't leave so soon John. I don't know what it is about your style, perhaps the Disneylike look of the tall buildings, but it's just beautiful.

Wow, this has to be one of my favorite designs ever...

It was all just- so- beautiful! Great layout, good pacing, excellent landscaping, gorgeous buildings (with shops inside!)... what more is there to say.

Here's hoping for a park (or PT) from you sometime, anytime... :)

    architecture - amazing.
coaster - meh. Hydra anyone? Not too bad though.
    atmosphere/everything else - really fantastic.

I'm not going anywhere, because I really do enjoy RCT. It's just that ever since school started (which, by the way, this design was completed at the end of August...) I rarely have time, and the time that I do have is usually wasted because I am not an efficient builder.

I am thinking of doing something over Christmas vacation, park-wise. I would try to pull something together for the PT, although I think it may be worthless because I don't build too fast. We'll see. I'm definitely not going to be done until I get a full park out, at the very least.

On another note... musette is related to a muse, if that's any help.

And lastly, I'm happy for the positive responses! Thanks alot guys! :)

Very enjoyable to look at, the coaster flowed very well. Very realistic in design too, i like how you created the atmosphere in there, nicely done.

    Muse?

    Love them guys.

Back to John's design though. Absolutely stunning imo. Perfectly done interlocking corkscrews, possibly the only ones I can say that about. Otherwise the colors, tree selection, landscaping and architecture all mesh in a way that SA could be proud of. Seriously, while this isn't nearly as detailed as your past work it's undouptibly more refined and in my humble opinion, much better.

    Amazing.

Perfect interlocking corkscrews? As in hidden away from view? Uh...yeah. There've been a hell of a lot of interlocking corkscrews, so it takes more than isolating them from the rest of a good layout to make them uniquely perfect.

    Nice coaster, aside from that.

Awesome design John. The coaster layout was solid. The support work was really good apart from the little areas you chose not to custom support for whatever reason. The architecture was beautiful. Loved the landscaping and treeing etc. as well. Great work. I do hope to see something from you in the not to far future.

I meant as in the way the turns between them worked. For once it was all banked and yet didn't look really awkward; insted running in a very fluid, natural way.

    That's all.

John I really enjoyed this, definitely the best of the new batch of designs IMO. The landscaping was outstanding and you really have a good eye when it comes to matching colors and putting just the right amount of detail, and that's a skill that I admire. Layout was good, and pretty unique, with good use of diagonal track. Pacing was also pretty good. The whole package was just very enjoyable to watch.

Can't wait to see you finish something else...:p
